Recap Chapter 16 {Part 1}

“Robert…”

“No, listen to me, I love you Jane and I don’t care what you are… I want us to be together”

“Me too” he smiled leaning his forehead to mine.

“There is one way to keep us together”

“How?” I asked confused as to what he was talking about.

“By letting me come with you. I will go with you Jane…to the dark forest, I will go and I won’t accept a no for an answer” he said with such determination. My head started spinning. There was no way I was letting Robert come with me to a dangerous place. I can’t risk his life.

But if that’s the only way that I can be with him…would I let him fight by my side or let him stay?

Chapter 16 {Part 2}

I looked into his eyes and saw determination and love in them. His eyes soften as he caressed my cheek. An electrifying feeling went through my body as he leaned closer.

“You’re so beautiful” he whispered against my ear sending chills all over me. I signed in contentment closing my eyes. The night had been perfect, there was a sense of relief as soon as I told Robert about the prophecy, but I couldn’t help to worry about what he said right after.

Would I let him come with me when my time here is over?

I don’t know if I can ever live with myself knowing that I risked his life for me. But he was right, we’re in this together, we are one and the same. He is the love of my life, but my story doesn’t end here unfortunately. There might not be a happily ever after for me, not after facing my own fears.

“I can’t lose you Robert” I said pulling him closer to me. I slid my hands up his chest as he hold tightened.

“You are not going to lose me Jane, ever. I’m here with you and always will be” he stated now looking at me. I smiled up at him and he pressed his lips to mine ever so gently.

His lips tasted like cinnamon…sweet and delicious. I pressed myself to him, our bodies connected instantly. I pulled away and saw his beautiful eyes, the eyes that had hypnotize me sine the beginning.

I signed closing my eyes while placing my head on top of Robert’s warm chest. His hold tightened around my waist as he placed a kiss on my forehead.There was nothing else to say, our actions were telling so much more. His hold on me was telling me that he was not going to let go of me, and that’s what I love about him. He would give up his life for me and I would do exactly the same.

A war is approaching and I knew that I would have to make a decision as soon as possible. Would I let him come with me or not, knowing that I’ll be risking his life.

But there was no time for me to waste anymore, my time is up. I have to go back to my Kingdom and fight for my people.

“Robert” he sighed caressing my lower back.
