Moonlight Kiss

Chapter 7

We decided to stay a few more minutes by the lake. The day seemed to cooperate with us, it was just nice to be here.

I watched the couple that was still kissing at the other side of the lake. They seemed happy and so full of love.

How I wish to be like them.

All sorts of thoughts went through my head at that moment. There was this feeling in me that was leaving me with full of questions.

Questions that I still needed to answer.

What intrigued me the most was the legend; I wonder what sort of creature lives in the forest.

As one with royal blood, I think I can talk to this creature and demand what he wants.

But then again, this might not be true. People talk a lot these days, and they might just possibly have invented all of the legend.

But what if it’s true?

I sighed. “Hey, you want to head home. I think my sister is home already” Robert asked.

I shrugged and stood up. As we walked back to his house I couldn’t help but to think on the kiss we shared before. I felt the longing that was keeping us apart.

From the corner of my eye I saw a shadow following us. I came into a sudden halt, Robert stopped and turned to face me with a confuse look on his face.

“What is it Jane?” he asked sounding concerned. His brown eyes turned gentle and concerned.

I was surprised to see him this concerned, the gentle sound of his voice like a melody to my ear. I gulped.

I kept reminding myself that this is not what I was supposed to be feeling right now…I was bonded to my kingdom and I can’t be bonded with him as well.

The wind made a rushing sound and the temperature started to drop.

“Jane?” Robert asked clearly sounding concerned. I looked at him and saw him in front of me.

I felt a sudden chilling sensation when he said my name. I shook the feeling out of me and nodded.

“I’m fine…I was wondering if perphas I can go visit a women that I met yesterday”

He frowned. “Who?”

“Victoria”

“The physic?”

I guess that’s what everyone knows her as; to be honest I’m still not sure what to think of her. When I first met her yesterday she scared to me to dead, I thought my parents had sent her to bring me back home, but she didn’t.

But that also leaves out the question whether my parents were going to send anyone for me or not.

I really hope not, especially not after what I’ve been through. It may not be a lot, but interacting with humans in another level is just what I wanted to do for a long time now.

Robert’s brown eyes starred into mine, just looking into them calmed my body, and in that instant my body and mind relaxed.

I mentally groaned. Why does he have that kind of effect on me?
