Chapter 27: Battle of the Cloud

Klang! Slam!

Tsuna grunted as he blocked one of Kyoya's tonfas with his gloved hand.

The skylark huffed as brought his other tonfa down on the other's head; Tsuna used his other hand to block the tonfa.

Tsuna then lifted a leg up and kicked Kyoya in the gut; the skylark wasn't affected, but he went with the force of the kick to put distance between himself and Tsuna.

Tsuna chuckled when he saw Kyoya activate his Cloud flames, which would enhance the skylark's attacks.

"Really, Kyoya-kun? Don't you want to save your energy for tonight's battle?"

"Hn." (No. Plus, it's only that Sky-omnivore that I need to save.)

"I see..."

Tsuna grinned as Kyoya charged at him; the Decimo brought his hands up and prepared himself for impact.

"Yaaaaay! Kyoya came!"

Takeshi laughed cheerfully as he waved at the scowling skylark.

"Urusai, sword-omnivore."

Hayato clicked his tongue, but he said nothing; Ryohei was pumping his fists in the air, shouting 'EXTREME' while Mukuro and Chrome were on the side.

Lambo was is Tsuna's arms, slightly shivering at the sight of Kyoya; he winced at the memory of Kyoya's wrath for damaging the windows of Namimori-Chuu.

Kyoya sighed before heading towards the Cervello and Gola Mosca; he easily sensed the Sky flames that were suppressed in there.

Kyoya crossed his arms and he gave a lazy look at the giant robot as heard the Cervello tell them about the traps that were set up in the fenced-off area they were in.

"Midori~tanabiku Nami~mori no~!"

Everyone looked up to see a yellow bird fly down and settle on Kyoya's head; the skylark looked at the bird with surprise before glancing at Mukuro.

"Kufufu~That old man, Birds, was kind enough to...lend me one of his pets." The indigonet crossed his arms. "Think of this as gift for helping my dear Chrome during the times that I wasn't there on the battlefield."

Kyoya huffed.

"Hn." (Thanks.)

The Cervello stepped out of the battlefield.

"May the Battle of the Cloud Guardian, start!"

Gatling guns immediately aimed themselves at the Gola Mosca and Kyoya--but both of them paid no heed to them.

The Gola Mosca charged at Kyoya and reached a hand out, intent on crushing the teen.

Kyoya yawned into his hand as he snapped his tonfa out; he jumped over the extended arm and landed on the robot's back.

The ravenet sighed as he lit his tonfa with Cloud flames and cut right through the Gola Mosca.

"Sky-omnivore. Wake up."

While everyone was surprised to see Vongola Nono inside of the Gola Mosca, Tsuna and the others sweatdropped at Kyoya's harsh voice.

'He knows no mercy...'

(O.D.D.- Not a very long, epic battle--but hey, that's kinda what happened in the episode. （−＿−；）)

Kyoya gently lifted Nono out of the robot; he heard the gatling guns turn off their safeties.

The skylark sighed before glancing at Tsuna; the brunet sweatdropped.

*You owe me another d*** match, Omnivore.*

Kyoya lept up and dodged the bullets that suddenly rained down on him.

There was not a hint of strain on his face as he carried Nono through the landmines and bullets; Kyoya destroyed one of the gatling guns while jumping over the fence.

Dino was on the phone, immediately calling for an ambulance to help out Nono as Kyoya gently gave the elderly man to Romario.

Kyoya then grabbed Tsuna by the scruff of his t-shirt.

"I'll have my match now. There's no need for any d*** drama. The Omnivore will defeat the liger-omnivore later on."

With that, the two disappeared; everyone blinked in confusion as Hayato sighed exasperatedly.

"Kyoya...that blood-thirsty b******."

"Haha! I kinda felt sorry for the Gola Mosca."

"The poor robot..."

Everyone sweatdropped at their actions.

'What about Tsuna?'

The Decimo sighed as he aimed a quick, condensed X-Burner at Kyoya, who quickly dodged and charged forwards with his tonfas raised.

Tsuna narrowed his gaze as he caught both tonfas and retaliated with a kick.

Kyoya smirked before leaping over the other, yanking his tonfas back as he did so.

Tsuna sighed once more.

'Looks like this fight won't be ending anytime soon...' The brunet smiled slightly. 'But I miss the times when I could go all out like this.'

The two broke off from each other and called out to their partners.

"Natsu! Cambio Forma/Roll. Cambio Forma."

Let's just say that they ended up destroying a few forest areas and a small, unnamed mountain.
