The next day I woke up bright and early and drove to work. When I got there, we got a call from the governor. He said there was a rumor of a Taliban group flying in so we were to monitor the airport security cameras. We watched for 5 hours and just when we were about to call it quits, we spotted a man who fit the description of the leader of the group. We called the governor and told him and also we told him that there were 2 other men with him. The governor informed us that, according to the rumor, the men were targeting an unknown Navy member for killing one of their members. Before we could catch another glimpse, they were gone. We had no idea what to do. For once, we were stumped. We replayed the footage to see if we could see the men again, but it wasn't a very good angle.
MEANWHILE.....
Jesse's POV:
I was sitting in my hotel room when all of the sudden the room phone rang. It was the front desk.
Me: Hello?
Clerk: Aloha Miss McGarrett. This is the front desk. There's a man here who would like to speak with you. He said he's outside in a black Camaro.
Me: Ok thanks!
Clerk: You're welcome!
Me: Bye.
"It must be Danny or Steve," I thought. I walked down the stairs and out of the lobby. When I walked out, I didn't see the Camaro. I walked around to the back parking lot and still didn't see it. Just as I was about to turn around, somethings caught the corner of my eye. Three men were standing in the shadows. One put a cloth over my mouth and everything went blank.
When I woke, I was tied to a chair in a dimly lit room. There was a camera facing me. Suddenly a man in a turban walked in. I recognized him as one of the members of a Taliban group. He stood behind the camera as 2 other men walked in. The men had guns. I didn't flinch once even though I knew deep down that it wouldn't end well. The man behind the camera pressed a button.
Danny's POV:
We were all wondering what to do when Catherine called us over to the computer.
Catherine: Hey guys. We've got an unknown video call from someone.
Steve: Answer it.
Catherine answered it. When she did, we could see Jesse tied to a chair in a poorly lit room. Steve ran his hand over his face. Two men with high powered guns walked up on either side of her. Suddenly, a man came from behind the camera. It was the same Taliban men from earlier.
Leader: Hello, Five-0. This is our plan of revenge to bring death to America.
Steve: I swear you SOB if you so much as touch my sister it'll be the last thing you do.
Leader: Ha! We'll see.
He began punching Jesse. She didn't cry out at all, just got angry.
Leader: All you have to do is get us all information on any troops in Afghanistan and we'll let her go alive.
Jesse: Don't do it Steve. I'm not worth it. Let him kill me. If it means he won't get his way I don't care.
She doesn't flinch when she says it. Just then, a thought occurred to me: they couldn't see me I wasn't near the screen, meaning that if I snuck out and found their location, I could save Jesse. I silently tracked the video call and walked out the door. Thankfully, no one noticed. I sped to Steve's house and unlocked the door. I went to the back bedroom where he kept his military guns and all his grenades. From there, I made a plan. I would go to the location, set off a grenade for a distraction, when the 2 men who were under command of the leader came out to check what was happening, I would take them out. Then I would go in, shoot the leader, and get Jesse.
Steve's POV:
Sitting there watching this man beat my little sister killed me.
Me: Stop! I'll get you the info.
Leader: Good I'm glad we're on the same page. Oh and try to pull anything funny, she's dead.
I knew he'd kill her anyways so I had to at least buy myself some time. Suddenly, could hear a grenade going off. It was on the video chat! Someone was trying to help Jesse. I looked around for Danny and didn't see him anywhere. The two men with guns ran out the room leaving Jesse with the vicious leader. Suddenly, a grin spread across her face. In a matter of seconds I could see that her hands were untied. She stood up from the chair. The leader drew a machete. She just laughed at him and stayed standing. She jumped into the air using the chair to kick the man off balance. The chair broke and he tumbled to the floor. After the chair broke the ropes became loose and Jesse was free. The man with the machete came charging at her saying, "Death to America, glory to my God!" He aimed the machete at her heart and ran. She stood there, doing nothing.
Me: Jesse move!
She still didn't. The man kept running. Finally, when he was about to reach her she backed up against the concrete wall. Then she moved to the side as the man crashed into the wall, knocking the machete from his hands. About the time Jesse picked up the machete, Danny busted into the room. She stabbed the machete into the heart of the leader then turned and aimed it at Danny.
Jesse: Oh it's you.
She dropped the machetes and began to cry. Then she ran to Danny, who embraced her in his arms.
Danny: Shh. It's ok. He's dead. You're safe.
Before I realized it, the entire team was out the door getting into their cars. I followed, still surprised about what Jesse had done.
