Steve's POV:
It was a sunny day. We had no cases. I was sitting in my office when suddenly I heard a knock. I looked up. Two men in Navy dress whites were standing at my door.
Me: Come in.
Officer: Steve McGarrett?
Me: Yep.
Officer: We're going to need you to come with us.
Me: What for?
Officer: That information cannot be disclosed at the time.
I put down the ink pen I was using to scribble with and got up. I walked out the door and the officers followed.  I walked outside with the officers following me. I was told to get into a big black SUV. I got in the back and was driven to a large hangar on the Naval base. I was told to board the jet inside the hangar. When I got on, I saw some people with the insignia of very important ranks. There were 2 commanders, an Admiral, and a Fleet Admiral.

Me: All due respect, gentlemen, but why am I here? And where are you flying me to?

Admiral: We've chosen to notify you of something concerning your sister.

Me: My sister? There must be a mistake. She died.

Admiral: You see, this isn't the case. What I'm about to tell you will change your life forever, but you may not tell anyone at this time.

Me: Not to be disrespectful, but get on with it.

Admiral: Your sister is alive and well. After the bomb went off on her mission, she was blasted into a wall and knocked unconscious, but not killed. We brought her back to base and she was given medical treatment. An Al-Qaeda leader caught wind that she survived and went after her. We sat down with her and came to the decision to tell her family that she was killed so that they wouldn't be targeted, seeing that she had 2 infants and 2 step children and a husband. She did it to protect her family. Now that leader has been killed, but she has volunteered for a very dangerous kamikaze-style mission.

My mouth dropped. How could she do this? What would happen if she really actually died? Danny wouldn't be able to stand going through that again.

Admiral: Commander McGarrett, were confident that she can do this. And as for your second question about where we're taking you, were flying to Iraq to the base where Jesse is at. She's begun her training. We want you to be there as an anchor of comfort for her during this time.

Me: Can you notify her husband?

Admiral: I'm sorry we can't.

I breathed a deep breath, overwhelmed by what I'd just been told.
