Shattered

Jesse got into my truck and I drove back to HQ. As soon as she got there, everyone crowded around her and she smiled and thanked them for being there for her. Then she walked up to Danny.
Jesse: I want to thank you especially. You risked your life knowing that you were outnumbered. You still came to my aid. Heck we've known each other
for 2 days and your already putting your life on the line. Thank you so much.
Danny smiled.
Danny: You're welcome. I just saw the opportunity and took it.
Jesse: Well I appreciate it.
She smiled warmly at Danny and he blushed. The way he looked at each other angered me. I gave him a stern look and motioned for him to come to my office. I walked in and he followed.
Me: Don't you ever do that again.
Danny: Do what?
He looked angry.
Me: Look at my sister like that again. Do that wasn't a request that was
an order. Do you understand me?
Danny: Excuse me? You're the one who forced me to ask her out just so she would stay on this God forsaken island! Danny was screaming. I turned to see everyone, including Jesse, staring at us. She'd heard what Danny said. Hurt was evident in her eyes. Danny hadn't noticed yet and got out of his chair. He stormed over to the door and opened it. He walked out and slammed it. He looked up and realized that Jesse was now crying. I got up from my chair and walked out of the office.
Jesse: How could you? Both of you! You're worthless! And I couldn't care less what happened to the both of you. I'm leaving. On the first flight. If I never see you, an arrogant control freak, or you an idiotic, self-absorbed, midget again, it'll be too soon.
With that she turned on her heel and ran out the HQ doors.
Danny: Jesse wait!
Danny ran after her.
Me: Oh no you don't.
I firmly grabbed his shoulder.
Me: I think you've done enough.
I walked after Jesse and Danny followed.
