The next morning we drove down to California. It was so hot! It felt good to be back in warm weather. Finally we arrived at the hotel. That day was just a day to relax, so that's exactly what we did. We just talked, watched TV, and were lazy. The next morning, we woke up bright and early. I was super excited for Top Gun. I wore my pilots jacket. We drove across the California-Nevada border and straight to top gun. Fighter jets swooped overhead. Adrenaline rushes through my body. I missed it so much. But I had a big surprise for Danny. He didn't know it, but he and I were going flying. I had learned how to fly without an NFO so Danny could sit in the back where the NFO usually was and I would fly. We walked inside the instruction building. I went straight to the info counter and told the woman my name.

Me: Jesse McGarrett. Private meeting with Ace, but don't tell him who I am yet.

Desk woman: I'll go get him for you.

Danny: Who's Ace?

Me: My old flight instructor. It's his call name.

Danny: Ah and what was your call name?

Me: Hornet.

Danny: Oh wow. So you're going to be Mrs. Hornet Williams?

He laughed.

Danny: Kidding, kidding.

I laughed and he put his arm around me. Finally, Ace came in, a cigar in his mouth.

Ace: Who're you?

Me: Don't remember me? You're getting old, Ace.

I laughed as it finally came to him.

Ace: Hornet? What are you doing here?

Me: Well, my fiancé and I are here for a week before we get married.

Ace: Ah finally settling down, I see.

He shook Danny's hand.

Ace: Hi I'm John Richards, but you can call me Ace.

Danny: Hi I'm Danny Williams.

Ace: Nice to meet you. How's your brother, Hornet?

Me: He's good. Oh Danny and I have a private flight. Can you get us out to a plane?

Ace: Sure can. You flying without an NFO?

Me: Yep. You taught me well, Ace.

Ace: Haha that I did.

Ace led us out to the hangar. Danny still hadn't said a word. I got inside the pilots seat.

Me: Danny you coming?

Danny: You mean we're actually going to fly?

Me: Yes. Now get in.

Danny hesitantly got in the NFO seat. Ace helped us out and finally, we were up in the air. I could hear Danny screaming through my ear piece as we reached Mach 1. I laughed to myself. Then, I turned a flip. That really scared him. After flying around for a while, we headed back in. Before we landed I said something through my communication piece.

Me: Hey Danny?

Danny: Yeah?

He sounded so scared.

Me: We should get married today.

Danny: Okay. Anything to get me out of this death trap.

Me: Wait you'll really marry me today?

Danny: Yes now please get us down.

I landed the plane.

Me: How'd ya like that?

Danny's eyes were big, his voice high pitched.

Danny: Never again.

I laughed and took off my gear. Danny took off his and we went back to the instruction building.

Ace: How was it?

Me: I miss it.

Ace: You're only 27 and your suspension is up. Why don't you come back?

I looked down at my stomach.

Ace: Oh I see. Well, I have a class so I better get going.

Me: Alright. It was good seeing you Ace.

Ace: Good seeing you too, Hornet. Congrats on the baby and getting married!

Me: Thanks!

Ace walked away and Danny and I walked back out to the truck.

Me: Do you have your tux?

Danny: Yep. Do you have the dress?

Me: Yep.

I was so excited to get married. Once we got back to the hotel, I got my dress and shoes and left for the salon. When I got there, I got my hair and makeup done. Suddenly my phone rang.

Me: Hello?

Jason: Hey. Guess where I'm at.

Me: Well I'm going to say Hawaii, seeing as how that's where you live.

Jason: Wrong.

Me: Then where are you?

Jason: I'll let you figure that out. I have to go. Bye Jesse.

That was so weird. I shrugged it off and finished getting ready.
