Jesse's POV:
I was laying on the bunk in my barrack watching TV. I was the only one who got to lay around for an hour. Everyone else is in the mess hall for push-up hour. I had been strenuously training all day for a big mission. I hoped everything would go well with it. I wanted to be able to go home to my family and stop the lies. I was so nervous. At 7:30, the special newscast they had for everyone in the barracks came on.

PO Wilcox: I'm Petty Officer Johnny Wilcox with Barracks News here at the US military base in Iraq. Tonight, we learn about the first American pilot to volunteer for a kamikaze-like mission to Iraq. Let's go to Lieutenant Ramey where we will see an interview recorded between her and the volunteer pilot.

Lt. Ramey: US Navy pilot Jesse McGarrett-Williams has volunteered to go on a secret mission known only to military personnel and leaders. The mission is not one in which many would participate. In this mission, the USN pilot will fly to Iraq in a bomber plane to blow up a key target where ISIS groups are known to be making nuclear weapons. The reason the mission is being considered kamikaze-like is because of nuclear weapons being held inside the underground manufacturing building. When she drops the bombs, there is only a 7% chance she will make it out of the range of the nuclear weapons before they explode. She has made this decision on her own and in no way has she been pressured into it and, in fact, she has the option to back out at any time. We are interviewed her yesterday to get a statement. Let's roll the clip.

Lt. Ramey: Hi Jesse. How are you today?

Me: I'm great how are you?

Lt. Ramey: I'm doing great as well. If you don't mind, could you tell us a little about how you feel about the mission?

Me: It's mine to do or die. I would rather me be the only one to die than millions of innocent people who ISIS will undoubtedly use the weapons on. And there's still a chance I might make it out alive. I'm firm in my faith and I know that whatever happens is the will of the Lord and that's fine with me. I'm also confident in my superiors to train me to increase my chance of survival."

Lt. Ramey: There you have it! This young lady is on the optimistic side! We're praying for her safety during this mission and for her superiors to be guided by the hands of the Lord to train her the best they can. Let's switch up the subject and get to the barracks dinner menu for the night...

I cut the TV off. I hated that they had told everyone about my mission. I hoped no one would ask about it or talk about it.
