Planning the Wedding/Honeymoon

Me: Oh my God.

Danny was speechless. His jaw dropped. I turned and walked out of the room. I sat down on the small bench in the hallway and cried. Suddenly, the door opened and Danny came out.

Danny: Hey. Everything's going to be fine.

He sat down beside me and wrapped me in his arms. I laid my head on his shoulder.

Me: I don't know if I can handle it. I mean 1 baby is fine, but 2? This is my first time.

Danny: Don't worry about that. I have no doubt in my mind that you'll make a great mom.

I wiped away my tears and looked at him, giving him a small smile.

Me:You really think so?

Danny: I do.

He looked me in the eyes. My heart melted. We got up and went back inside the room.

Doctor: I know it's a lot to handle, but in the end it'll be worth it.

I smiled and thought to myself "I know it will." The rest of the appointment went great. We learned we were having a girl and a boy. I was so excited!

Later that night at Danny's house...

We told everyone else about the twins. They were happy for us. After that we decided to take the rest of the night just to rest. We sat in the couch drinking beer and watching TV. Suddenly Danny spoke.

Danny: We're leaving next week.

Me: Leaving? What are you talking about?

Danny: We're going to leave next week and travel to every state except Alaska. We'll start In Washington, then Oregon and work our way all the way to the east coast. And we'll get married in the last state we go to. We'll spend 5 days in each state and by the time we get home, it'll be 13 days before the babies are due.

I considered it. It would be good for us to get to go travel to places other than where we grew up or where we live.

Me: What about Grace and Charlie?

Danny: They can stay with Rachel. I'll miss them but you deserve a trip.

I smiled and kissed him.

Me: Then it's settled! But while we're in Texas we're visiting the people who raised me. And while we're in New Jersey, we'll visit your parents.

Danny: Ok but I have to talk to Steve. I have to make sure he'll let me have the time off.

Me: Of course he will. I will make him.

Danny laughed and kissed the top of my head. We began to plan out the long trip. Finally, the time came for us to leave. We prepared for the long flight to Washington. After we said goodbye to everyone, we boarded the plane and began our adventure.
