Babies

I laid in the bed with Danny as he drifted in and out of sleep. Finally after a while, I fell asleep too. Suddenly I was awakened by an air horn. I groggily opened my eyes to find an angry looking Steve standing in the doorway of the room.

Steve: Do either of you want to explain to me what happened? We had a dead body about an hour ago. Max was there. He told me he had to make a personal visit to tend to Danny's GSW!

Me: Steve this doesn't concern you.

Steve: It does concern me because it happened in MY HOUSE! To MY SISTER!

Steve was yelling. I screamed back at the top of my lungs.

Me: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

Steve: I dare you to raise your voice at me again, young lady.

Me: Oh what are you my father now? No. May I remind you, my father is DEAD. Why? BECAUSE OF YOU!

I got all of mine and Danny's bags and belongings together.

Me: C'mon Danny. I'm leaving. We can go in my car until yours gets fixed.

Danny got up from the bed. Bags in my hands, I pushed Steve out of my way, causing him to stumble backwards hitting his head. Danny followed me silently. We walked out to my car. I got the keys and started the car. I helped Danny get in and then drove us to his place. I unlocked the door and carried in all our bags while Danny went upstairs to our bedroom. Tears ran down my face. I had just gotten in a fight with my brother over nothing and accused him of being responsible for our father's death. I couldn't believe what I'd done. I walked up the stairs to our bedroom and changed into one of Danny's t-shirts. I climbed into bed and went to sleep. I was awakened at about 3 am with contractions. I was going into labor! I woke Danny up and we got into the car. He said he would be ok to drive me to the hospital even with his injury. He sped down the road towards the hospital. Finally we arrived and we got out. The nurses put me in a room. Danny called Steve and Catherine, Chin, Kono, and Grover to tell them it was happening. Within 15 minutes they were all there. They wouldn't let them visit for longer than 10 minutes, but they waited outside the room. While I was waiting for the time to push for he babies out, Danny and I thought about names. We decided on Alison for the girl and Nicholas for the boy. A couple hours later I had the babies. At 5:23 am, I became the mother of 2 beautiful twins.
