We drove along and finally reached
Kamekona's. We got out of the car and went to the window of the truck.

Kamekona: Hey sistas what can I get you two fine ladies?

Me: I'll take the usual and a grape and pineapple shave ice.

Grace: Shrimp salad please! Oh and a cherry and grape shave ice.

Kamekona: Alright I'll have it out for you two soon!

Me: Thanks big guy.

Kamekona: No problem, sista.

Grace and I walked over to a table and sat down.

Me: So your dad told me your on a competitive cheer team?

Grace: Yeah I love it!

Me: Ha I was on one when I was your age. I was on it for quite a while.

Grace: That's awesome! Can you still do the flips?

Me: I don't know. Honestly I haven't ever tried.

Grace: Oh ok. So judging by your shirt, I'm assuming you were in the Navy. What did you do?

Me: Well for the first 4 years I was a pilot. Ever seen the movie Top Gun?

Grace: Only a million times. Me and Uncle Steve watch it every time I stay the night.

Me: Ok well I was basically like the Maverick of real life. I got to fly in combat. And then the last 2 years I was a sniper for the Navy SEALs. Technically women weren't allowed to be SEALs at the time, but the Department of Defense made an exception for me. I wasn't allowed to tell anyone until after it was over. Only my team knew. Not even the other teams knew. I was on SEAL team 8. Then my CO made me come here and forced me to tell Steve we were siblings.

Grace: Wow that sounds complicated.

Me: Haha it was believe me.

Kamekona: Alright here we go. Eat up sistas!

Me: Mmmm! Looks delicious!

Kamekona: Home cooked from the heart.

Me: Alright well we're gonna dig in.

I handed him the money for the food. Grace and I ate and made small talk. We laughed, we joked, and the most important thing we did was we got to know each other. Once we finished eating, we went back to the car. We got in and I drove along. After a few minutes, I noticed we were being followed.

Me: Hey Grace I'm gonna need you to hold on tight for a minute. Don't worry, ok? Everything's fine.

I floored the gas pedal and weaved in and out of traffic. I headed toward Five-0 HQ. The car was still following us.

Grace: What's going on?

Me: Nothing everything's fine. We're going to HQ for a minute. Just sit tight and stay buckled.

I went even faster. I called Steve.

Me: Write this down.
