The flight went by fast. The whole time, Steve and I tried to think of how to tell Danny. By the time we landed, we still didn't have a plan. After we got off the plane, we were given a ride to HQ.
Steve: I'll have Danny come outside. While I'm in there, figure out how to tell him. You got this.
Steve hugged me and went inside to get Danny. I was twiddling my fingers as I thought how to tell him.
Steve's POV
I walked inside HQ. everyone came out of their office to greet me. I made it short as possible. Then I grabbed Danny's arm and waited for everyone else to fro back to their offices.
Me: Hey I need you to come with me for minute.
Danny: Great. What'd I do this time?
I laughed.
Me: Nothing just come with me.
Danny was skeptical but followed me out. Jesse was sitting in the back seat of my truck waiting. Since the windows were tinted, I knew Danny couldn't see her.
Danny: What are you doing Steve?
Me: Um. Let's just say there's someone in there you'll want to see. And please, just hear them out and don't get mad. It wasn't their fault and they only did what they did for you.
Danny looked confused.
Danny: Steve what are you talking about? Who's in there?
Me: Just shut up and see for yourself.
Danny cautiously opened the door and I walked away. The only thing I heard was "Jesse."
