Swimming through, we were greeted by guards with swords all pointing at my head. I backed up a lot, hitting myself against the closed Entrance that stood as the threshold.
"Stand down, men." Dad ordered, and they all lowered their swords, floating straighter. "This is Princess Aqua, our daughter and the next-in-line for the throne." He informed them, and they all started talking at once.
"She's the thief!" One of them exclaimed.
"She stole from you!" Another shouted frantically.
"She's should be in prison!" Another screamed in an angry voice, lifting the sword and pointing it at me, being two inches from my face.
"Back down." Dad ordered lowly, but none of them heard him.
"Shut up!" Mom screamed, and they all nodded, floating aside.
"Yes your Highness." They all said in unison as she flipped her hair with sass, swimming ahead. Dad sighed as he followed, and I was last. Leave it to a woman to get someone else to shut up…
I slowed my swimming speed as we neared the castle, getting stared at from all different directions. Some were glaring menacingly, others in horror, but most in shock. Was it really that surprising that I was here? Or was it that I stole Magic… from my own parents?
"This way, Aqua." Dad told me, and I snapped back into reality and swam harder to catch up with them. The castle was the same, not completely torn apart like the foyer of my sister's. They waved me along to a quiet room, small and made of stone with no furniture in it. Once we were all inside, the door shut fast, leaving me alone with my parents. Only my parents.
"What's this about?" I asked as they let out a sigh, leaning against the curved walls.
"I think you know what this is about." Dad shot at me, and in the span of a second, was on the wall, then in front of me. "The Magic from the cellar downstairs? Only you could've gotten to it."
"Okay?" I asked, crossing my arms. "I stole the Magic. I admit it."
"But why would you do that?" Mom asked in a more soothing voice, pushing Dad away. "Why did you steal the Magic in the first place?"
"For my friend who said it was hers." I shot back, looking at my thieving parents. "You're the ones who stole from her in the first place!"
"We did no such thing!" Dad screamed, hitting his fist against the wall, which shook the room and the water in it. "That Magic was ours that was stored, the rest was either banished or destroyed."
"Why does it matter? You guys don't need it, you have plenty of it already!" I shot back, feeling like I was losing the argument.
"Because we're keeping it for special occasions, either something like you, when you had none, or making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands." Dad explained, so I sat there and listened. "And Black Magic was mostly the reason, considering it was evil and Lucille is the only known person to practice it."
"She's not evil!" I screamed back, floating taller than them so they couldn't tower over me. "She's my friend who helped me get here, unlike you people!"
"Aqua." Dad started, stopping my rant, placing his arms on my shoulders and bringing me down. "You don't know what you were dealing with. She got you to steal the Magic for her, and she took yours! Do you even know what she's using it for?"
I paused, shaking my head slowly and staying silent. "No."
"Then how do you know she's who she says she is? I'm telling you, Aqua, you just dealt with the wrong sea witch, and now that she has more and powerful Magic, she's going to pull something big."
