Julian
"I'm gonna go check on Cal" Juliet said getting up from the bed, then she threw in a loose t-shirt and some panties.
"Good idea" I said sitting up as she left the room. I rubbed my temples and sighed as I glanced at the clock on the night table: 11:53 a.m. I felt tired but it was more like the feeling I get every time I oversleep.
"He's still sleeping" Juliet said as she sat back on the bed, then she looked at me over her shoulder with a chirpy smile on her lips. Her long brownish hair covering half her face. I didn't know how she always looked so good even when she just got up. It was truly enigmatic to me.
I smirked and approached to her, then I put my arms around her and dragged her body to the center of the bed. Still facing only her back I slipped my hands under her shirt as I kissed her neck softly. I found my way to her breasts and started to massage them, her nipples were already hard, so it was tough for me to hide my own hard on.
Juliet laughed through her nose, probably at the feeling of my erection pressing against her back, so she turned around and pushing me slightly back her hand found it's way to touch me under the sheets which were covering me.
Her hand was cold at first but it began to warm up with the friction. I was so into it that didn't notice my phone started to ring.
"Pick it up, could be important" Juliet said. I just looked at her confused. "Your phone"
"Oh" I reached my arm over and took the device without checking the caller ID.
"Hello?" I picked up as I glanced down at Juliet who decided to keep pleasing me.
"Is this Julian?" A man's voice asked from the other end of the line.
"Who is this?" I just asked without giving confirmation. Those last few years I had to start being careful because fans tended to, somehow, get my number.
"Look. I just found a young woman in my car, she's passed out and won't wake up, so I took her phone and you're the last person who called her" The stranger said. I gasped and looked at the Caller ID. As I figured. My heart started racing and Juliet sat up worried.
"Where are you?" I asked getting off the bed to find my clothes.
"Do you know The Trainwreck? It's a bar downtown, about three block's from Saint Theodore's Hospital, on the 27th-"
"Yeah, yeah, I know where it is I think, I'm on my way, thanks" I hung up and started dressing up.
"Are you gonna tell me what happened?!" Juliet asked suddenly. I completely forgot she was there.
"Oh, it was Nick, his car got stolen and.. Uh- he's late for Silvan's school play or something like that" Wow, sometimes I'm amazed at what a good liar I am. Not proud but, you gotta admit that was a pretty fucking quick response.
"Shouldn't he go to the police first so they can-"
"I know right?" I said quickly putting on my sneakers. "But you know Amanda, she wants him to be there for the kids 24/7, so.."
I got up and looked at Juliet again, she was clueless.
"Uh, hey, I'm sorry.." I said and leaned over to kiss her forehead. "I'll call you later"
"Alright" she said and let herself fall in the space where I was before. I left the room and ran down the stairs to get my jacket and keys, then went out, stopped the first cab I could find and gave him the address.
-
The cabbie parked in front of the bar. I payed and crossed the street where I spotted a middle aged man standing next to a car that looked like Albert's.
"Are you Julian?" He asked with his arms crossed across his chest.
"Yeah, what happened?" I said peeking through the window where I could hardly see Mika passed out. The not-so-happy-looking man opened the door and made room for me to take her out of his property.
"Just take her. I checked her vital signs and she's pretty much alive. Maybe she'll think twice next time she drinks until she passes out, I could have been a pervert" he said as I leaned in to grab her in my arms. I heard her whine inaudibly but ended up putting her arms around my neck.
"I'm sorry for the trouble" I said and then thanked him. I would have shaken his hand but I was in a really tricky position.
The dude was kind enough to cross the street to open the door of another cab for me, so I could place Mika on the back seat. As soon as I placed her she seemed to start to wake up. I apologized again to the man and he left.
I got into the car and rested her head on my lap so she could be comfy, then gave the cabbie directions to my apartment. Mika must have thought it was Albert's car. There wasn't another possible explanation of why she sneaked into a car it wasn't hers.
I sensed movement as we were crossing the highway. I looked down and catched her wide eyed staring up. She looked at me, not making a sound and then turned to her side, looking to the back of the passenger's seat.
"I wasn't here the last time I was awake" she said, ignoring the fact of the silliness of her words.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"I don't know, Julian. Drunk. I just wanted to take a nap before my next drink" she sat up and opened the window. "How did you find me anyway?"
"Long story short, some dude found you passed out inside of his car and called me from your phone to come take you away" I said, slightly irritated because of his sassy tone.
"I wasn't passed out. I was tired and went to sleep. Let's just not talk about it, I wanna get out of this car" she said looking for the doorknob and I realized she was seriously trying to open the door.
"What- Shit, are you crazy?!" I said grabbing her wandering arm. "We're doing 90 on a freeway"
"Oh" she looked outside the window and then at me "I didn't notice" I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or if she was really that drunk she thought the car wasn't moving. I could feel the cabbie's eyes staring at me through the rearview mirror.
"We're close to my apartment" I said looking outside my window. We were probably 15 blocks away.
"How close?" She asked.
"Close" I repeated as I watched people walking down the streets. Then I felt her head rest again on my lap. Just like she was before she woke up and it made me wonder if anything ever happened.
Every time she got drunk her face looked peaceful, without a single worry in the world. Even if she was kind of mad or telling Rich to go fuck himself, she'd do it with no frown, as if she knew better. Alcohol is amazing, I wish I could keep drinking once in a while. But if I did, I wouldn't be able to moderate myself, due to my addictive personality. When I like something, I become obsessed with it and can't stop. That's why I don't drink coffee either, I started and had to quit too because I would drink 4 to 5 cups of coffee a day.
Same thing with music. But that's a healthy addiction.Well, kinda.
"$6,25 buddy" the cabbie said parking in front of my newly rented apartment.
Finally, I wasn't gonna let her leave until we had a fucking good talk in which I was determined to change her irrationality and lack of judgement.
