"Carolina!" York called as he skidded his way down the hall. The red-haired girl turned around to see York out of breath, hands in his knees and... Well, out of shape.

"Whoa... Man... Running is hard."

"York."

"Right- Uh, listen, Wash and I were gonna go check out this cool new Chinese takeout place, but the cool thing is that this one has better fortune cookies, so wanna come with us?"

Carolina raised an eyebrow, but shook her head.

"I wish I could, but Maine and I have a lot of paperwork to finish from the last case. Directed wants it on his desk tomorrow. Maybe next time...?"

York seemed a bit hurt, but quickly regained himself:

"Nah, it's fine. Good luck on your paperwork, see you later!" He called as Carolina waved and headed to Maine's desk.

As soon as she couldn't see, he sighed and slumped against the wall.

"That's the third time she's rejected you. Maybe you should move on to another, smart, intelligent blonde who watches horror movies." Wash commented while eating an energy bar.

York glared at him, and slapped the snack out of his hand so it hit the floor.

"Not cool. You owe me a dollar and fifty cents!"

York glared at him once again, but sighed and fished a dollar out of his pocket. He slapped it against Wash's chest, and began to walk out of the police department.

Wash hesitated to follow after York, and turned around to see Carolina visibly trying to kill her papers through intense staring.

"Carolina," York called, heading over. Maybe he could make this right.

She looked up, tapping her pen on the table.

"Look, I know you're busy and all, that's cool, but I think that you should come with us. I insist. You deserve a day off."

Carolina frowned, but looked over at Maine's desk. He was writing up a storm, something that Fanfic authors wish they could do.

"Wash, I swear to god," she whispered under breath, then sighed, "Give me two minutes and I'll meet you in the parking lot. That Chinese place better be good."

York was waiting in the driver's seat of the Mother of Blueberries, gripping the wheel so he could somewhat steady his sanity. (Non-Psych people are probably very confused by the name. There's a reasonable explanation, I swear.) The problem was, York really liked her. Really really liked her. That stupid laugh she always did, or the overly-cute-rare smile...

God damn it.

"York!" Wash yelled, tapping on the window. York quickly unlocked the car, and was about to put it in drive when he saw Wash get in the back.

"Wash, I've told you multiple times that it's highly unlikely that we'll get shot at from the front. If anything, they'll be chasing us, because my driver skills are fucking awesome. Plus, I'm sure the bullet could go though my head to hit yours."

"Uh... York-"

"No, seriously, I want to know. How close does the gun have to be for it to be able to pass through your head? Is that possible? I mean, it has to be possible, because how else would action movies be made."

"York."

"Holy shit that reminds me. I've got an awesome movie plan for tonight: Seven. Eh? I think that that's a good movie. Especially because my favorite actor is in it. Oh, you can be Morgan Freeman! Wash, we should totally go as them for Halloween. You can carry the box with my wife's head!-"

"YORK!" Wash yelled.

"What now, detective?" York impressions in a raspy voice. Wash sighed, and pointed out the window.

Carolina was standing there with her arms crossed.

"... In my defense, Brad Pitt was really hot in that movie, and I will openly admit it."

Carolina sighed, and got in the passenger seat.

"Just as long as my head doesn't end up in a box, I'll go eat food with you."

York hesitated, not sure what she meant, but picked up on it instantly.

"Wash?"

"Yeah?"

"Please don't tell me that Carolina is pregnant."

"I will step out of this car, York, if you make one more Seven reference."

York smiled, giving her a cocky grin, and hit the gas.

Tonight, they were absolutely going to watch Seven.

(Seven is such a good movie)
