I had this one teacher that I trusted so much, that she will risk her job to save my secret.

Freshman year of high school, was the worst for me especially when I found out I was pregnant.

I told my math teacher, Ms.____, to not tell the school counselors or my parents because I have everything planned, which was to have an abortion.

Later on in the week, one of the school counselors and my math teacher were talking during break. I couldn't hear them but I saw how Ms.____ was serious and still while the counselor was talking to her. When the bell rang, the counselor stormed out and Ms.____ saw me standing out near the door with my friends and she just smiled.

Ms.____ didn't even once looked at me in class, which was good but kind of curious. Then 1 minute before the bell rang, I was packing up my things and I saw her trying to get my attention and said, "Stay after class please". And I nodded yes.

The bell rang and I waited for everyone to leave and I stood up and Ms.____ closed the door and told me to sit. I said, "I rather stand, if that's okay?" Then she said, "Well....I think it's best if you sit sweetie".

"Did you see Ms.______, the counselor, and I talking? " she said.

"Yes. Was it about me?"

"I'm afraid so. I had to tell her what was going on. It was for your safety, especially the situation that you are in. I told her everything including..."

I was so angry and betrayed by her. So I stood up and yelled, "I TRUSTED YOU! I HAD EVERYTHING PLANNED OUT AND NOW YOU MADE IT WORSE! I could never trust you again!"

"Please forgive me! Just know I was doing this for you". She said
I see her crying under her eyeglasses and got up and tried to give me a hug.

I stopped her and said, "No! Don't touch me!" And I stormed out the classroom. I was running to get to my next class since I was going to be late, the next thing I knew I fell forward and couldn't get up.

I see Ms. ____ running towards me and was patting around my stomach and she said, "Can you get up?!"

"I don't think so".

She tried getting me up, but I was too weak. Then she went to a classroom to call the principal and school counselor.

I was still laying down on the floor and I hear the principal on his walkie talkie to call an ambulance, but Ms.____ said, "There is no need for that. She just needs water and some space".

The principal ran to get a wheelchair from the office and I was still laying down and Ms.____ was trying to get me up and surprisingly I got up. I was holding her by her hand to keep balance and I see the principal with the wheel chair and she whispered in my ear, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine. I won't say anything".

Then the principal was taking me to the office and told me that he had to call my parents just to tell them that I'm okay.

I was scared when he told me that because I know for sure my parents would come to the school and would want to see if I was okay.

Afterschool, my parents wanted to see the principal and Ms.___ about what happened and Ms.____ lied. She actually lied to my parents. She said, " I saw her laying down on the floor and I figured she just fainted and so I called the principal to help me to get her up and now she is fine".
Then my parents asked me, Is that was happened?"
I turned towards Ms.____ and replied,"Yes. I fainted. I just haven't ate all day that's why." I lied.

Then my parents and I left. I didn't go to school the next day because my mom just wanted to make sure I was okay, which I was. I can't believe it, I fell and Ms.___ lied to keep my secret.

Why did she lie for me?
