Kai: u and I are unstoppable!

Zane: I don't think Nya would appreciate you referring to her as 'fragile', Kai. Perhaps different word choice would be more effective.

Lloyd: finally the ambulance is here should I meet them
Cole: yes but will everyone please stop standing around texting there's a real problem here

Cole: I'm trying to get Nya away but she won't come

Cole: cutting
Cole: it's called cutting
Zane: According to my database, cutting is a form of self-harm that often comes with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
Zane: Why?
Lloyd: why would anyone hurt them self?
Cole: there are lots of reasons
Lloyd: but what exactly was happening?
Cole: Jay had a knife Lloyd. He was literally cutting himself.
Cole: it's been happening for a while
Cole: ugh, I'm so stupid
Cole: I had suspicions but I didn't say anything
Cole: I saw the signs but I just kept quiet and kept bullying Jay
Cole: and I knew deep down I just didn't want to admit it
Lloyd: WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING?????
Cole: because I know Jay would never forgive me
Cole: he was ashamed
Cole: he wanted to keep it a secret
Cole: and even if it saved his life, telling Jay's secret would mean he'd hate me even more
Cole: believe me, I know
Zane: But how did you know? Is it some sort of human intuition?
Lloyd: I never even knew this was a thing
Cole: I know because I've been there
Lloyd: what?
Cole: never mind.
Lloyd: ...
Zane: What prompted Jay's impulsive and harmful behavior?
Cole: in the ambulance over here I asked Nya about what happened and she just gave me her phone
Cole: so I read her texts with Jay
Lloyd: EW!
Zane: what?
Lloyd: wouldn't they be all lovey-dovey? Nya's gonna kill you Cole
Cole: she wanted me to read them
Cole: Jay was changing
Cole: he kept saying awful stuff about himself
Cole: judging from it he's been cutting for at least 3 months
Lloyd: wait wait wait if Jay's been doing this for MONTHS how come we didn't notice?
Cole: there were signs. We just weren't looking for them because Jay is good at distraction.
Cole: Bu Jay always wears long sleeves. He has dark circles under his eyes constantly and sometimes when nobody knows he breaks down in his room.
Cole: Nya told me everything
Cole: once she found a knife in Jay's room
Cole: once she nudged his arm and he was in pain with no explanation
Cole: and Jay has been more distant with her than ever
Zane: How did you manage to get this out of Nya? She was screaming and nobody is allowed to see her, not even Kai. I know because Kai is in the waiting room with me and he's burning things.
Lloyd: so that's where Kai is! I'm coming.
Cole: they thought I was her husband so they let me in
Zane: How did you even make out what she was saying?
Cole: I could understand her
Lloyd: wait wait wait I still don't get it. If Jay was depressed and cutting for months how come only now he had to go to the hospital?
Cole: ...
Cole: Jay hit an artery, Lloyd. He was so upset he shoved the knife deep into his arm and then electrocuted himself.
Zane: That means...
Cole: they don't know if he'll make it
Cole: I have to go
Cole: Nya needs me
Lloyd: why? why did Jay do that? just WHY?
Cole: they think he has a personality disorder
Zane: What happened to Nya? Kai is asking.
Cole: they restrained her
Cole: I really have to go
Cole: she's asking for me
Cole: bye

Kai: I swear Cole Brookstone, u better help my sister any way u can or I will murder u
Cole: I can't help her unless I know the root

Kai: ever since our parents died Nya has had this thing
Kai: she always had anxiety and a weird need to be perfect but their death changed her, made it worse
Kai: she takes medication
Kai: there are lots of different theories from psychologists so we don't have an exact definition of what's wrong
Kai: from all we can tell it's mixture of OCD, panic disorder, and a specific fear
Kai: Nya tries so hard to live a normal life but things always seem to go wrong for her. U don't get it. Nobody does.
Kai: I don't know how to help her
Kai: this whole thing with Jay has a risk of driving her over the edge
Kai: she had it controlled for so long.
Cole: I get it more than u think, Kai. I won't tell Nya u told me if u don't want me to.
Kai: how are u so calm? How can anyone be calm in this situation?
Cole: trust me, on the inside I'm screaming.
Cole: I have experience with this
Kai: Cole u have to fix Nya u have to fix this ur the only one who can
Kai: AUGH I have to leave
Kai: Lloyd says I'll burn the hospital down
Cole: I'll make it okay
Kai: how do u know
Kai: HOW DOES ANYONE KNOW
Cole: there are things about me I've never told anyone
Cole: u have to trust me, Kai. Can you trust me?
Cole: I'll help ur sister.
Cole: and Jay can survive this
Kai: since when did u get so positive?
Cole: oh, I'm as pessimistic as usual. I said I'll help Nya, not make her better. I said Jay CAN survive, not he WILL
Cole: but u have to trust me
Kai: I just don't know what to do...I normally have a way to solve anything, normally I jump into action. But now I don't know.
Kai: u have to help, Cole u have to
Cole: I can try
