I stretched as the sound of my alarm clock continued to blare into my ears. Usually, my Monday mornings were filled with dread but today I'd only be stopping at school for a short while and not for the whole day.

Mom was coming home today. I was so ready and excited to see her, but the circumstances weren't the best. She was only coming home to pack up her things for her permanent move to Miami. I'd obviously be sad to see her leaving for definite but after everything that had happened recently, I thought it was best for her to be away.

"Aria! Hurry up or you are going to miss her!" Jesse called up the stairs and I sat up rubbing my eyes. Bella called me late last night asking if we could have a quick catch up this morning concerning her trip to see her mom.

"Okay, calm down Jesse I'm up!" I shouted back before climbing out of bed.

I did my usual morning routine and got ready, taking a little longer considering I didn't have to rush to get my school things together. Once I was ready, I made my way downstairs. "Hey Dad. What time is Mom getting here?" I asked him as I entered the kitchen.

"I'm not sure it was meant to be this afternoon, there have been problems with flights, there's a big storm over Miami at the moment so she may be a little delayed, but we'll see." I nodded absorbing the information before I grabbed my car keys off the counter and made my way to the front door.

Yesterday I had done nothing but lay in bed and think over the decision that I had made concerning Jake. I couldn't decide as to if whether I had made the right choice or not, it was probably wrong. Jesse thought I was crazy, he yelled at me for what felt like hours after he got in from his patrol.

I grabbed the door handle and opened the door only to walk into a rock-hard body. I jumped as they placed their hands on my waist to steady me. When I looked up to see Jake smiling down at me, I inwardly groaned and glared up at him, silently telling him not to laugh.

"What are you doing here?" I asked slightly guarded, I still needed my space, he had only given me a day. But I just couldn't help the stirring inside me when I looked over him. His bulging muscles stood out under the fabric of his tight black T-shirt, his jeans were slightly ripped and grease-smeared and with the smile on his face he looked like my old Jake for a second.

He shrugged. "I thought I'd drive you to school, seeing as we are friends and all." He put emphasis on the word friends, and I inwardly cringed, this was a bit too much.

"Oh." I mumbled and looked at his hopeful face. I was split yet again, should I let him? Or am I being completely ridiculous now? Ridiculous, the little voice called out.

"So?" He asked and I looked back up at his face, he looked better. Healthier. As if his glow was back. The section of his chest that was showing above the neckline of his shirt looked completely healed, no trace of the nasty claw mark that was there two days ago.

One hour with him couldn't hurt, right? "Sure." I smiled and went to turn around to place my keys back in the pot, but I was held in place. "Err, Jake?" His hands were still firmly around my waist.

"Oh sorry." He muttered embarrassed and blushed. This side of him was really weird.

"Aria, have you left- what is he doing here?" I rolled my eyes and turned to face Jesse who had entered the hallway. He may be my older brother, he had a right to be protective considering how I had been treated, but he did need to tone it down.

"He's driving me to school." I explained and he looked at me as if I was insane.

"I don't think so." He folded his arms across his chest, and I rolled my eyes again.
