Chapter 26 (Second Chance)

Harry POV

"Alissa?" I asked wiping the rain off of my forehead as I approached the park bench.

Okay so maybe I followed after her, but I couldn't just sit at home when I had this gut feeling telling me that she would be in trouble.

Alissa looked up and met eyes with me, I could tell she was drunk "Harry." She mumbled.

I walked closer to her and held out a hand to help her get up, she grabbed it and got up quickly causing her to stumble right into my arms.

"What happened?" I asked looking at her, she was soaking wet from the rain.

She just laughed "Long story."

Yup she was defiantly drunk. I smiled and just shook my head.

All of a sudden we heard a huge thunder sound, the rain then started to pour.

"Come on, lets get in the car." I said grabbing her hand, she didn't move though she just stood there.

"No, Harry it's raining." She said spinning as she looked up into the sky.

"Yeah, but you don't want to get wet, let's go." I urged.

"We are already wet, it doesn't matter! Let's dance." Alissa yelled as she stopped spinning, she came closer to me and grabbing both my arms.

Part of me knew this was wrong, she was drunk she probably didn't mean half the things she was saying or doing right now. Although looking into her eye's I couldn't find the strength to pull away.

"Harry, I want you to know I'm sorry for being so guarded. The truth is I still love you, and no matter how hard I try I can't move on. I need you." Alissa slurred as she moved her hands up my arm till they were around my neck.

I was taken back, did she really mean that?

Alissa leaned her head back as the rain poured down faster and faster "Kiss me Harry, kiss me in the rain." She said when she looked back at me.

"What?" I said shocked at first, I had been waiting for those words to come out of her forever.

"Oh for heaven's sake!" Alissa yelled before just leaning in and kissing me.

At first it took me a moment to react because I knew it wasn't right for me to take advantage of the fact that she was really in her conscious, but kiss reminded me of everything I missed about her. I couldn't hold it in anymore, I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her back.  I felt her fingers run through my wet hair, our lips moved in sync, their was more urgency in this kiss, like it was making up for the months we have been apart.

Alissa pulled away laughing "You give me butterflies!"

I smiled to myself, even when she was drunk she was cute. 

"Let's go Alissa." I said wrapping one my arms around her waist and guiding her to my car, she honestly looked like she could pass out any moment.

I opened the passenger door for her and helped her in, we were both drenched in rain but I didn't really care. The whole drive home I was smiling from the kiss, it felt so right, I still truly did love Alissa. When we reached the house, I turned to look at Alissa, but she was already fast asleep. I sighed as I got out and made my way to the other side, I lifted her out of her seat bridal style, she buried her head into my chest and carried her through the front door.
