I sat by the big window of my big house, sipping hot chocolate that Derek had brought me and watched the new fluffy snow gently fall down to the already packed snow on the ground, covering it like a blanket. I've been living with my dads for a while now and they knew about my mother, step- dad, and little sister. By now it was pretty much the middle of the school year my 3rd year might I add, yeah now I'm a junior....but I was failing most of my classes, which I was used to, what I'm not used to is being grounded off my phone because of it and it kinda sucked... a lot.
~~~How it went~~~
"Your grades are horrible! All F's! Are you even trying, Raiden!" Derek was scolding me. I wasn't trying at all actually so no "Not really" I shrugged and pulled out my phone, about to text Katie who was my new friend at school, she was interested in woman so Toby liked her for that fact she wasn't trying to take me away from him. Derek grabbed my phone out of my hand before I could even type in my pass code, ignored my protests, and stuffed it inside his pocket. "You can get your phone back when you get your grades up." Shawn told me, taking Derek's side, traitor. "That's not fair dad!" I whined and like a little kid put my hand out asking for what was mine "Life isn't fair sweetie, get your grades up and your punishment will be lifted," He started to walk away but turned around "oh and I need you to clean the cats litter box if you will, please and thank you!" he left. princess destroyer was my kitty so I had no choice but to clean the litter box.
~~~back to the large window aka present~~~
I sighed I want my phone back.... ""You could always steal it back"" I laughed and shook my head, guess who's back~ ""Why not? You used to steal things before"" I'm not like that anymore.""You could be, care to find out?"" The voice disappeared once daddy Shawn came and sat by me, also watching the snow fall "Rei, I know you're upset about losing your phone but you have to understand we worry about your future" he said sadly still looking out the window sipping on his coffee "I understand dad, it's okay." I said setting my now empty mug on the ground next to me he sighed of relief and smiled "Your birthday is coming up, what do you want?" I'd forgotten about my own birthday coming up and thought of something I wanted. "I already have everything I want, a family, Toby, and a job so I have money too... but I guess..." I thought some more and Shawn waited patiently while I thought "I want a sister." He stared at me "a sister?" I nodded and Shawn thought "well I don't know, I mean I guess we could get you a sister... but for your birthday?" I nodded again "can I have two sisters, one only a few years younger and one really little?" I asked, my eyes lighting up with how I could help raise the baby girl "like a baby?" he asked still unsure and I nodded. He smiled at my exciedness "I'll Talk to Derek about it" I squealed with happiness.
Shawn's POV
"A sister?" Derek asked "two sisters" I corrected and Derek rubbed the back of his neck which he tended to do while he thought hard about something "I don't know... do you think we'd be able to afford that? I mean we can afford Raiden but two girls..." he drifted off and I nodded "I can write more stories with girls around, they're ought to have a good imagination" He thought some more before nodding his head a little "we can go get a girl around 12 years old and a little girl maybe 3" I shook my head "I want a baby baby, try one" I knew I was pushing my luck with this since I wasn't even good with babies but I knew Raiden was fantastic with kids and loved them, so was Toby, so I knew I could count on them."Okay, alright we can work on getting a 12 year old girl adopted first then we can worry about a baby, sound good?" I squealed and nodded my head yes.
"Dad?" I finally noticed Raiden at the door peaking his head in "Can I go to Toby's?" Derek answered yes but to be back in time for dinner while I made sure he was dressed okay. We cut his hair a little bit ago, even though he really didn't want to but I told him he could dye his hair any color he wanted if we could cut it at least a little. It was shorter in the back but still longer in the front so he could do his flippy thing. He decided on a blue and black mix of hair and said he soon wanted to dye it black and red because he liked that mixture of color. He wore a black, blue, and green flannel with a black tee shirt that had one of his favorite bands on it, something about a black parade or whatever, I never listen to the kind of music he likes but Derek knew all about the bands Raiden liked and said when Raiden went to Toby's for the night next he'd show me but we always end up watching a show Raiden got us hooked on called American Horror Story it's creepy as hell!
He grabbed his winter jacket and his shoes even though we tell him to buy winter boots he doesn't want them. "You're going to freeze your ass off." I commented out loud by accident and covered my mouth "oh my I'm so sorry" Raiden just laughed "Then hang it above the fire place to remind me that my ass has been frozen off." he said before running out of the door because he knew I'd yell about him cussing so I just scowled at the door hoping he could feel the power of my scowl.
Raiden's POV
I could feel Dad's scowl on my back even though I ran out before he realized I cussed but I knew he probably knew it before it came out of my mouth, that's the way Shawn is. I ran to the gas station and picked up two hot chocolates and the old lady from a while ago was there, she usually is and I talk to her often "Sure is cold out there, Raiden, should you be going to Toby's in the coldness?" she asked worried about me I just smiled and nodded my head "probably not, that hot chocolate is for you Mera" Mera is the lady's name short for Meradith, "You're such a sweet young boy. Is that other for Toby?" she asked taking a sip of the hot chocolate I bought for her. "Yes ma'am, I love to spoil him." she chuckled and sent me on my merry way to my merry boyfriend.
I rang the door bell and the door opened to reveal Toby and Suzy. Suzy seemed to be surpassing him in height but he didn't care anymore like he did a few months ago. I gave Toby the hot chocolate and his face lit up with delight "Raiden you didn't have to" he said letting me in. I walked in and hugged him and even kissed his forehead "I wanted to. Mera says hey by the way" he smiled, we've both come to love talking to Mera when ever we went to the gas station which was usually on school mornings sometimes we'd run into Jacob but Mera could see tension so she shooed him and his crew out.
"We should do something nice for her" he decided "I just bought her a hot chocolate" I pointed out "From where she workds" he counter pointed me "You've gotta point" I gave in and he held his head up triumphantly " I know" He finished his hot chocolate and threw away the foam cup, then we cuddled up next to the window watching the snow continue to fall in the dark. "It's beautiful." Toby commented, so I just had to be cheesy "You know what else is beautiful?" I asked and he asked what so innocently "you" he blushed and playfully punched me. I had him sit on my lap facing me and I looked into his eyes "Does Ashton come out a lot?" I asked looking into his bright blue eyes "not really" he answered. I had to ask because within the year we have been together now Ashton loved to come out, especially when we got to have a sleep over, and no I still haven't slept with Toby yet....yet....
"Good" I said before kissing him on the nose "boop!" he licked my nose like a dog would "oh you nasty" I said wiping off the saliva but I was laughing so he knew I wasn't serious. I kissed his lips and it was a slow kiss this time, not hungry like the ones I usually give him. At first I stared him in the eyes and slowly inched our faces together until our lips brushed each other before leaning in a little, he leaned in too so it wasn't just me kissing him. I licked his bottom lip asking for entrance and he like always he gladly gives me, he tasted like sour cream and onion chips, a personal favorite.
We were interrupted when his drunken mother and father bursted through the front door, and Toby pulled away quickly "Tooobyyyyyyy babyyyyy I see Raiden theeerrree" his mother slurred and I giggled "hello" I waved and she waved back falling over. Suzy asked if we could help carry them to their room and we did, Toby and Suzy helped their mother upstairs while I helped Greg "Raiden," he started to sound like he was sober "you take care of my son. You best marry him. He really loves you, you know" he said still slurring some of his word. "Of course sir" I smiled bringing him up to his room and set him on his bed, helping him take off his shoes and the coat part of his tux while he fell asleep. "What are you smiling about Raiden?" Toby asked while we went downstairs "I'll tell you this weekend" I promised. Well I guess I better go out and buy a ring so I could be binded to my love.
Shawn's POV
"OH MY GAWED BABE" I called out to Derek who was in the kitchen trying to cook but failing miserably "What?" He called back "WE HAVE A LITTLE GIRL WE NEED TO MEET THIS WEEKEND" I yelled and I heard him drop something and come running into the living room "WHAT?" he asked happily. I could finally tell him about her when I calmed down. "She's 12, okay with moving up here, some what like raiden except her past, she was neglected and abused but shes been in the orphanage for 2 years now, and her name, well what she likes to be called is, Danny."
