chapter 9 The Forever Rose

I don't know exactly how adoption works so I'm so sorry if this is inaccurate but it's my imagination so I guess you'll have to deal with the it >.< sorreh. sorry about the inturrupions on this chapter, its been a long night... I wrote it perfect and it didn't save all of it so I just rewrote it so you could read the rest of it...enjoy!

We got the papers signed and I was officially adopted within a day. I pulled out my phone and texted Toby 'Raiden Holen' It's my new last name. Before now I didn't have a family so I found no need to keep my last name so it was always just Raiden, but now that I finally have a family I could take their last name and be apart of the family. Of course I haven't completely trusted them yet it's an instinct of mine I wonder why I trusted Toby so easily I guess I'll be moving in with them in 3 days which is exciting but scary at the same time. My phone chimed as I was putting away some of my band posters 'What on earth are you talking about rei?' lately he has been calling me by my nickname and it made me giggle like a school girl but at the moment I just smiled because he was as confused as I hoped. I messaged back quickly 'My new last name, of my dads' I tucked my phone in my back pocket and went downstairs to get a snack from the fridge I've been saving.

I saw my new dads which I learned their names finally, Shawn was the more feminine one and Derek was the more manlier, and defiantly the top, "Hey Shawn, Hey Derek" I waved to them to show I came down for my snack and changed my mind for the snack in the fridge for a cookie or two, who can resist yummy cookies? "Hey Raiden" Shawn spoke first "Hows the packing?" Derek finished his sentence which wasn't weird but wasn't an all the time thing. After swallowing the last of my cookie I answered "Good. I should be finished by tomorrow maybe." My phone chimed again 'OH MY GAWED! you got adopted?! Dads? OMG I'm so happy for you!!' I smiled at my phone being able to see in my mind what Toby looked like when he got excited like this, it was hella adorable. I typed back 'Two dads, they're gay and married.' I slid my phone back into my back pocket, It was my favorite place to keep it but sometimes when I put it on vibrate and have it in my back pocket I can't feel it so I miss calls or texts hence the reason I have to listen to an annoying chime when I get a message or a annoying ring when I get a call. "I'm going to do more packing and them I'm gonna go see Toby," I called to Shawn because Derek had gone to the bathroom.

Before heading to my room I grabbed a couple of cookies and ran up the stairs "MINE" I called when Derek tried to wine that I got more cookies "I'll make more" Shawn said shaking his head as if he had two kids and was a single father which I laughed at. I packed pretty much everything except my clothes, school stuff, a thin blanket, and pillow for my bed and, before you ask, no I don't have any stuffed animals...but Toby kept a fluffy kitty I got for him on our first date to a beach. I didn't hear my phone chime for a while so I checked it and saw Toby messaged me about an hour ago 'Are they a cute couple?' I chuckled and decided to get a little cheesy 'Not as cute as us' and once again I slid my phone in my back pocket just to pull it out and toss it on my bed so I could change my clothes for a date with my Toby. I grabbed my baggy blue jeans, batman belt which looked like a seat belt, black tee, and a black and red checkered flannel. After getting dressed I rolled up the sleeves on my flannel and buttoned it up until the last two buttons, fixed my collar, and put on a old rusty red colored beanie and fixed up my hair which seemed to be getting too long I'll need to fix it again... maybe I'll just cut some of it.... I shook my head a little at the thought of me with a different hairstyle and headed downstairs.

'/)/////(\' I smiled at the blushy face that Toby sent me, I had grabbed my phone when I grabbed my fake leather jacket, I do have a real leather one but it was the one my father had given me before he died so I kept it safe. Way to get me depressed before a date ""no problem"" nope nope nope nope I throw my jacket on, grab my skate board, and dash out the door. On my way to Toby's I stopped in a store to get a flower "for your girlfriend?" the old lady behind the counter asked me and I shook my head "my boyfriend actually" I had expected a look of disgust but instead she giggled "ah young love, I hope you two are a good couple" she handed me the flower and my change "keep the change" I said heading to the door "what a nice young man" she smiled to herself.

When I made it to the house I hid my board in the bushes and fixed my hair before ringing the door bell. His father answered "Hello sir" I smiled sweetly for him the best I could " Am I allowed to take your son on a date?" I asked and heard Suzy squeal from behind the door, and her father scowled at her telling her to shuttup. Toby's mother came to the door and opened it all the way, letting me inside "I'll let him know you are here." she said spotting the flower behind my back and smiled.

""Have fun on your stupid date. I'll come back, I always do"" I shook my head and filled my thoughts with Toby. At some point I glanced down at my wrist and saw the scars I had inflicted on my self through out the years maybe I'll get a tattoo there. I was so lost in thought I almost didn't notice a out of breath Toby at the end of the stairs in his pajama pants, graphic tee, messy blond hair, and an unzipped hoodie that used to be mine which he had stolen. "So" I cleared my throat and took the rose from behind my back and lifted my hand trying to give him the rose "Shall we go on a date?" I cocked my head to the side and smirked a little. Toby blushed tomato red and grabbed my extended hand dragging me up to his room. 

When we got there he tossed me in his room, closed the door, and leaned on the door then caught his breath before he spoke again "What are you doing?" he asked still blushing "trying to take my wonderful boyfriend on a date, is that wrong?" I pouted tilting my head once again and he smiled, which made me smile and I went up to kiss him "can't we just stay here..." I kissed him and nodded.

We watched a few episodes of whatever anime Toby wanted to before playing video games and after I beat him for the 50th time in Mario go kart he asked me "What is the rose for?" I smiled and said "you're allowed to leave me only when all the petals fall off that flower" I pointed to it.  He got a confused look on his face as he said "but its fake" my smile widened "exactly." when he finally got it he tackled me to the floor and sat on my chest kissing me "I don't want to leave you, Raiden" he finally used my regular name after a while  "Good" was all I said before I kissed him over and over on the lips, only teasing a little before going down his neck finding his least, but my favorite, spot which made him moan a little and then we heard banging on the door "YOU BETTER NOT BE DOIN THE FRICKLE FRACKLE" it was his mom "IF YOU DO USE PROTECTION" now that was Suzy "SUZY DON'T ENCOURAGE THEM" "BUT MOM THEY'RE SO CUTE!!!"  I looked up at Toby who was still straddling me "Sorry, I sorta forgot they were here..." I said looking at his face which was severely red "M-Me t-to" he stuttered before kissing me again which I happily kissed my beautiful red faced beauty.
