Can't do it

Chapter 22

    I thought a lot about my life on my way to work and at work even, It couldn't be true what Danny had said, Something bad happening? I mean maybe I'll get a call from the hospital to tell me that Toby's parents died or that his sister was moving away or something crazy bad. I shook my head trying to clear my thoughts and wrote a new book. It was a short one since I didn't have much thought go into it, because my imagination was pretty slow today because I kept remembering everything that has happened recently. 

     I gotta text from my little Emily. We had given her a slide phone where it was a touch on the front then you slide it up and you could text a year ago when she turned ten, and then agreed maybe when she was fourteen we would let her have a smart phone. 'Daddy I asked out the girl from my school in secret, You know scarlet? She said she wasn't allowed to date yet, but She said she totally would when We're older!' she sent three happy emojis after that. 

    I smiled at her message and quickly messaged her back 'That's great sweetie, I hope you guys could be together soon. so cute! I'll send a friend to haunt her if she hurts you since I would just beat her up. Be a good girl and try not to make your dad cry from being so happy like how your brother did' I wrote some more while waiting for her reply. 'I'm getting some mixed emotions of "awww" and "I'll kill all who hurt you" nice' I chuckled  'little of both yea' I type back before my assistant came in and yelled at me for procrastinating. 

    My kids weren't too old but they were older than before, for Jackson's 16th birthday we allowed him to have a drink with us at home but only one. Jackson was only slightly tipsy and when he woke up the day after he told me and Toby he didn't want to drink because he didn't like it much. I laughed and Toby told him it was okay, elbowing me in the side making me laugh harder. When I could actually talk again I told him it was okay because that meant I could trust him not to become an alcoholic. 

     On Emily's 10th birthday we allowed her to have a mixed gender sleep over only if the boys slept in her room and the girls slept in the living room, and we also had Jackson go sleep at his friend they nicknamed Rat because he was short and could do a lot without getting noticed but once he was noticed girls scream because they are startled, so it's a fitting nickname. The kid is weird tho. The only reason the boy were allowed in her room was because she told them about her being into girls, then they discussed all the girls in their grades and which ones are going to be way more hot when their fully grown. They girls felt akward at first but then they all played video games before settling for a movie.

    No one listened to the rule of girls in one room and the boys with Emily in another because they all fell asleep in the living room and I know because I had to get up early and tripped over a girl and then a few seconds later a boy. "Okay! Everyone in Emily's room!" I yelled waking them up. They were slow and groggy at first but eventually they all made it into her room after looking at me which caused them to wake up an be scared. I didn't have to leave for a bit but it was a normal thing for me to get up so early. They kids were in the living room again later on while I was watching T.v. There wasn't that many kids, only about 5 or 6, but it was more than I had living in my house and it annoyed me. They all sat on the other couch or on the floor while me and Emily sat on the couch right across the T.v. 

   When Toby woke up he just threw on one of my shirts and he walked out into the living room, forgetting his daughter was going go have friends over. He had work the previous night and left me t deal with them but he wasn't able to see them, so when he came out the kids looked at him and asked Emily "Is that your brother?" while the girls drooled the boys seemed jelous while one of the boys drooled, looks like we knew which friend was gay.  I got up and walked over to him, kissing his lips softly but quickly, and hugged him " G'mornin baby, want some coffee?" Toby looked at me with a confused look but accepted my kiss and kissed my cheek "coffee love, I gotta get ready for work. 

     Lets just say the kids understood I have claimed Toby a long time ago and I didn't plan on giving him up at all, ever. I love Toby so much more than I could ever explain to anyone and he knows it because he told me so. After thinking and laughing at the past I packed up my stuff and left my  suitcase at work today because I didn't feel the need to have to take it home. I was going to force my kids to go elsewhere but I decided against it. I called Toby and he answered on the 5th ring "hello?"   "Hey baby, wanna pick a movie and we can get the kids together and have a movie marathon?" I heard a giggle "Sure sweetie, I'll pick a few movies, what's the occasion?"   I smile and shake my head a little "nothing, just want some family time" 

    I didn't know what would happen before I got home...

I actually might be able to type up the last chapter tonight if ya want but warning it will be the last chapter and it will be the longest chanpter yet. ^~^
