When I woke up the next morning, Dorea was still asleep. A few other girls in my dorm had already gotten out of bed and showered. I noticed the bathroom was empty and I quickly claimed it to take a lukewarm shower. My eyes wandered over the multiple different shampoos, conditioners, and body wash. Eventually, I settled on a sweet flowery scent.
After my shower, I magically dried my hair and left it down straight. I applied minimum makeup which consisted of subtle pinkish lipstick and blush. Looking at my reflection a few times, I made my way out of the bathroom and began changing, my uniform top consisted of a long sleeve button up, white collared shirt. My bottom half of the uniform was a gray skirt that ended three inches above the knee. Instead of wearing the knee high socks and flats that I was expected to wear, I slid into a pair of black tights and stepped into a pair of two inch black heels.
Sure, I wasn't very rebellious but I wasn't exactly the girl that followed every single rule. If I could make myself appear better than I would do it. I wasn't going to walk around in a pair of ugly, plain black flats. My mother would never let me hear the end of it!
I fastened my maroon and gold striped tie around my neck loosely and clipped a silver necklace on. Then I put my fake diamond earrings on that I had gotten from a cheap muggle store over the summer holidays- which angered my mother to such an extent that she refused to speak to me for a week. Dorea had just gotten out of the bathroom and was ready to go. We grabbed our bags that were filled with heavy books and then our wands.
Finally, we reached the bottom of the dormitory stairs. Dorea's and my name were called out and we looked over to see Matthew and Charlus waiting for us. We all walked down to the Great Hall together for breakfast and began eating.
"So, how was your night, Lia?" I smiled at the nickname Charlus had given me and answered saying that it was good and expressed my newfound love for the beds were. They were surprisingly very comfortable, even more so than my old bed.
"Well I don't know about you, Char, but it seems as if the girls have better matresses than us," Matthew said with a smirk. Charlus caught on to what he was implying and laughed a bit before commenting.
"I guess I'll just have to sleep in your bed tonight, Lia. Maybe you can warm me up?" I just laughed and started to nibble on a slice of toast. Dorea was barely paying attention to the conversation and was practically inhaling her food.
"Woah there, Dor! Slow down a bit or else you'll end up choking," Matthew said with disgust clear in his eyes. Dorea gave him a smile that was full of food before answering.
"You know you love it," Dorea gave him a wink and Matthew's expression turned from disgust to confusion.
"Love what? Your table manners or that pretty face of yours?" Matthew winked back at her with a flirtatious smile but Dorea fake gagged. Charlus and I laughed while Matthew scowled.
Dorea then wiped her face with her napkin before clearing her throat and saying, "Besides, the only thing I'll be choking on is Killian's-"
At her words, both Matt and Charlus covered their ears and begged for her to stop. Charlus even reached across the table and put his palm over her mouth. I couldn't help but laugh along with Dorea as the brunette pulled his hand away from her mouth in disgust and crying in outrage, "You licked me!"
"Here are your timetables, students. I do hope you would be kind enough to show Miss Key around school," Professor Dumbledore spoke as he passed us each our schedule. Dorea and I exchanged ours quickly and realized we had every class together besides charms, divination, and potions. The boys had the same schedule as Dorea so I would be left alone for charms and potions.
