The past few days have been hell. At first, Charlus endlessly apologized to me, which aggravated me to an extreme. I wasn't angry with him, but that didn't mean I wouldn't stay away from his when he was drunk.
The second stage of Charlus apologies, seemed to be filled with anger. He became mad that I hadn't told him, he was so angry at one point, that Matt had to take him out of the common room to go for a walk. Dorea tried to comfort me, but she didn't understand. I was alone in the entire thing.
The last stage, well last meaning the current stage, Charlus had given me the cold shoulder. He only talked to me when it was necessary but stayed away from me. Matt told me it was because he had felt so guilty. This was annoying, why couldn't he see that I wasn't upset about it. Sure, I was still cautious, but that was it.
At the moment, I was on my way to Charms and sat alone, not wanting to be near anyone. My mood was incredibly awful today not only because of Charlus, but also because I was on my period.
Everyone seemed to be happy that I was in an upset mood, then they wouldn't have to deal with my complaining. Dorea was extremely relieved, as well as Matt. They were stuck in the middle of the awkward situation that Charlus forced us all in.
Once Charms ended, I decided to skip Herbology and go to the Quidditch Pitch. Flying would release the bundle of emotions I was currently feeling. Also, it would be a stress reliever.
I hadn't been on my broom since the quidditch championship and I was glad to be back. Being on my broom was a sort of escape, I loved it. The adrenaline that rushed through my veins as I made nosedives and sharp turns was exhilarating.
While on my broom, I didn't notice the crowd that had appeared in the stands. It wasn't until I heard clapping, did I notice that there were people watching me. Tom, Abraxas, Sebastian, and Arcturus were sitting down on the benches.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked, flying towards them. Tom was sitting up straight, while the other boys were lying down on the stands. They relaxed under the sun and a pile of their robes lied next to them. Arcturus had even taken off his shoes and tie, getting comfortable.
"Just enjoying the show." Tom spoke, giving me his famous charming smile. I rolled my eyes and was about to turn away until Sebastian spoke up.
"Surprised to see you here, Dahlia. I figured that you wouldn't show your face here after we brutally beat you last time." He smirked, trying to provoke me.
"Let's have a one on one, Sebastian. I'm sure we'll see who the real winner is then," I scowled, becoming angry.
"I think I'll pass, that is Tom's job after all." Abraxas snickered as Sebastian made his comeback. A scoff escaped my lips as Tom just stood there and laughed. How does he deal with this fool on a daily basis?
"Sod off, Black." I snapped, not able to contain the redness appearing on my cheeks. The boys noticed my blush and all laughed.
"I don't have time for this."
"Aw, come on, Dahl. I was just messing around." Sebastian called off after me as I flew away from them and landed on the ground. Instead of responding, I ignored him and walked off of the pitch.
"Dahlia, wait up!" I found myself stopping in my tracks and waiting for Tom, who had called my name. He jogged towards me and when he slowed to a walk, I was shocked to see he was out of breath.
"Your out of shape." I stated, trying to annoy him. It worked.
"Please," he scoffed, "I've got the best body you've ever seen."
"The on,y body actually." I muttered under my breath but my hand flew up over my mouth as I realized what I had just said.
"Wait," Tom started, surprised, "You and Charlus haven't..."
