-Jack POV-
Blue light poured in, waking me up.
I opened my eyes and saw two tanned thighs, then looked up further and was greeted by two large brown ones facing me.
"Hey." Jesy smiled. She was on top of me again, straddling my waist.
I chuckled and closed my eyes for a minute. "Is this real?"
Jesy pinched me.
"Ow!"
"It's real!" Jesy giggled.
I laughed. "Now this is a great way to wake up."
"It's perfect isn't it?" Jesy leaned forward and pecked my lips.
"You're perfect." I responded and kissed her back harder.
"We should get back, it's like 9:30 already." Jesy said slipping on her shirt.
I nodded and slipped my clothing on too. We didn't do anything last night but cuddle. That was it but it meant a big deal to me just being with her.
"Starbucks?" I asked her when I jumped into the driver seat of her Chevy truck.
"You know me." Jesy grinned. She looked so happy this morning, her face was glowing and didn't have that sickly pale look anymore.
I wonder if I looked any different now. I sure felt different - almost like I was high.
"You're so beautiful when you wake up." I smiled at her and drove to Starbucks.
"My hair looks like someone died in it." Jesy said blankly.
I chuckled. "Can't deny that."
Jesy laughed and punched my arm lightly. When we got to Starbucks I jumped out since Jesy's hair wasn't very tamed now. I got us two Grande frozen mocha's and some donuts.
"The things I would do for you woman." I shook my head and slipped in.
The rain from last night still ongoing. I turned up the AC to warm and pulled my sweater off.
"And that's why I love you." Jesy smiled and kissed my cheek. Then she froze realizing what she had just said.
"Uhm." Jesy coughed and looked down at her drink. "You know what I mean."
"It's okay you know." I shrugged lightly. "Because I love you too."
"Really?" Jesy's face lightened up when she looked at me again.
"I've always loved you in that friend way...this is just much more deeper now." I explained.
"Couldn't have said it better myself really." Jesy smiled and started eating her donut.
I drove to her house now. I love how we could be completely at ease around each other. Jesy wasn't afraid of how she looked or how she ate when she was with me - I kinda liked that.
I took note of how Jesy would always be reserved around Gilinsky or the guys. With us, it was a natural feel.
"Moms not here." I announced as we pulled up. Her mothers car was gone which meant she was at work already.
"Is she ever?" Jesy muttered. She didn't bother getting out just yet.
"You okay? " I cut the engine and faced her.
"What do you thinks going to happen when G wakes up." Jesy asked, fiddling with her fingers.
"I don't know." I answered honestly.
"Are you going to just walk away or -"
"Jesy look." I said. "I know he loves you, I do too. I just think he doesn't need to be hurt after going through the whole accident."
Jesy looked away. In the rear view mirror I saw her wipe away a small stray tear.
"I've gotta go." Jesy forced a smile and opened the door.
"Wait." I said pulling Jesy back into a hug. I kissed her forehead softly and held her for a while.
Then she pulled away and hopped out.
"I'll come back around with Brianna's so you can get your car back." I said.
"Take care of her." Jesy said seriously and tapped the car lightly, then smiled.
Then I drove off.
-Jesy POV-
After taking an awesome shower and eating some left over lasagne I felt better. Not that I didn't feel over the moon after last night with Jack.
We didn't sleep together in that sense of course. I wasn't sure if we were ready for that -heck we aren't even ready to admit our feelings fully.
I mean I love Gilinsky, who wouldn't right? But everything about Johnson was flawless. His smile, his laugh, his eyes and best of all how much he cares about me.
Before the accident, Gilinsky was too occupied with his life and himself that I wasn't even apart of it anymore.
But Jack was always there, he had his life but he didn't mind sharing it with me.
After two hours, Jack and Brianna pulled up in my driveway with my car. Sammy was here too.
"We're heading out for dinner, you coming?" Brianna burst in through the front door and hugged me briefly.
"Sure why not." I smiled.
Brianna frowned. "That's weird you smell like my brother."
I sniffed myself. True to Brianna's statement, I did smell like Jack even after showering. I tried not to blush.
"Weird huh." I chuckled.
I quickly slipped on my Kedz and followed Brianna out to car where Jack and Sammy were talking. I hopped in next to Jack who was driving.
"Sup J." Samuel smiled.
"Wilkinson." I returned the smile. "I see you two are gone public."
"Duh." Sammy kissed Brianna's cheek. "Why would I hide my love for her?"
For a second Jack and I looked at each other. We were hiding each other right now and it was unfair to Jack and to us.
"Who's up for Mac Donald's?" Jack asked turning on the radio. Then he sped off towards our dinner destination with his hands tight around the steering wheel and his face unchanging.
I kept up a good convo with Sammy and Brianna but Jack didn't say a word.
When we got to Mac Donald's, Jack took time to get out of the truck and told Sammy and Bri to get us a seat.
"What's wrong?" I asked wrapping my arms around Jacks waist and looking up at him.
"Nothing." He said holding me close to him. "I just - just love you okay?"
I smiled. "I love you too Johnson."
"Don't you ever stop." He smirked and pecked my forehead.
"If you don't, I wont." I nodded.
Together we walked in without holding hands - I didn't want Sammy to go blabbering about this.
As we ate and talked and laughed I drifted off a bit. I looked at Jack who was laughing at Sammy's joke and couldn't help smile. If it wasn't for Jack, I wouldn't be in a better place now.
I love him. I mean I really really do love Jack Johnson.
