-Jesy POV-

"Look alive Jesy!" My mom smiled widely as I walked down the next morning for breakfast.

I shrugged. "Hey mom."

"I made you pancakes." My mom slid a plate towards me as I slumped into the counter chair.

"Thanks." I sniffed and took one bite but didn't feel hungry at all. I ate anyways just so my mom wouldn't ask questions.

I felt my mom observe me from the corner of her eye. Don't get me wrong I loved the change in my mom but I still needed my privacy nevertheless. I hope she understood that bit.

"You alright?" My mom slid into the chair beside me.

I forced a smile. "Yeah, I am mom."

"You know that you can talk to me about anything okay?" My mom rubbed my arm.

I nodded.

"And there's something I wanna talk to you about." My mom smiled a little bit. In fact it was a huge smile on her face.

I frowned. "Okay sure?"

She held out her other hand in front of my face. I saw a sparkle of silver on her ring finger and stood up in shock and excitement.

"Really!" I squealed.

My mom nodded. "He proposed last night and - "

I threw my arms around my mom and squeezed her gently. I think she was caught off guard but hugged me back.

" - and I wanted your permission before I go through with this." She finished.

I pulled away. "Mom! Are you kidding now? You don't need my permission for that."

Mom shrugged. "I'm glad you're happy then."

I laughed. "I really am happy!"

My shitty mood was completely gone and replaced by hopefulness that my mom and I would be happy. We were already in a good place now.

"You better get going or you'll be late for school." My mom squeezed my hand gently.

"Alright." I grabbed my bag from the floor. "I love you mom."

She smiled. "I love you too baby."

I smiled back and then walked out the kitchen. I really couldn't wait for this wedding to happen. I walled out the front door and towards my car.

As I slid into the front seat, I caught a glimpse of my eyes through the mirror. Hundred dollar Gucci bags under my eyes.

I sighed and started the car, driving to car. The feeling of dread sunk into me as I started thinking of Jack Johnson. I couldn't keep my heart from aching in my chest. Literally.

Jack and I weren't talking. A week has already gone by - he just avoided me and i did the same. And I don't know about him but I was hurting more than I have ever. I tried so hard to just ignore him but that wasn't so easy when I saw him walking down the hallways.

I arrived at school. I spotted Jack with Gilinsky near his car and they were surrounded by a groud of friends. I groaned and tried to park as far away from them as possible.

Gilinsky didn't notice me as I got out and walked across the parking lot towards school. But Jack did a double take and looked at me for what seemed like the first time in about a week.

I looked at him. Then my eyes slowly wondered to the person beside him, I saw fingers intertwined. And yeah you guessed it - Audrina. My eyes widened.
