It was a normal Sunday - clear day, bright sunshine, birds chirping, and Leanne attended her singing lessons with a smile on her face.

Next Friday was the Arts Festival, and she had butterflies in her stomach, knowing that it was so close, but she knew they would do well, because they had rehearsed it so many times after school in the music room and even once at Erin's house and another time at Cailyn's.

She giggled as she remembered how two days ago how much Claire was blushing when they were talking about James. It was a subject that nobody stopped teasing her about, except Yao, of course, who hardly understood the situation and who didn't know Claire that well. Claudia and Cailyn were also celebrating because apparently they had heard Claire scream - although it sounded like a high-pitched shriek at the time - when Cailyn's hair accidentally touched her brownies at school.

Not to mention that Caitlin had been acting even weirder than normal at school in class. Leanne suspected that she'd taken drugs, Claire thought that she'd eaten magic mushrooms, Claudia thought she was under a spell and Theresa just thought that Caitlin's boyfriend had done something to her. As for Caitlin, she thought that someone spiked her drink. Her constant craziness had driven Claire mad with annoyance, but Leanne and Theresa found it extremely funny.

When they recounted Caitlin's craziness to Anna, she just sighed and made a comment about why she adopted a weird daughter in the first place (reference to the Bok Choy Family). As for Leanne's daughters - Cailyn and Helina - they weren't even paying attention. They were too busy arguing, which prompted Claudia to threaten to hit them both on the face with her laptop and Claire had to yell at them to shut up.

The singing lessons were getting more intense and complicated, but while everyone else was working on their solo songs for the national singing competition, Leanne and Cailyn were rehearsing for the Arts Festival.

For the singing competition, Alissa was singing Burn by Ellie Goulding; Alexandria was singing Fireflies by Owl City; Aleena was singing Roar by Katy Perry; and Cailyn had just recently decided that she would sing Inori Song by Egoist - that was in Japanese (from the anime Guilty Crown). It's the song attached.

For what reasons, Leanne didn't know. Cailyn was pretty closed up about that. Leanne was singing Sorry by Justin Bieber. She didn't exactly like Justin, but she did love the song, and she wanted to sing it.

As for Kim, she still hadn't chosen a song yet, and Aleena was helping her choose. Sarah was mocking her openly for being so slow for choosing a song.

Kim, who was clearly hurt, retorted, "Have you chosen a song, Sarah?"

"Yes, I have," the slut girl replied. "It's Warrior by Havana Brown."

Alexandria rolled her eyes from behind Sarah, so the latter didn't see.

"Nice," Aleena told Sarah with a tight-lipped smile.

Their teacher, Miss McKay, listened to Leanne talk about how she, Cailyn and two of their other friends - Julie and Erin - were going to perform a song on the Arts Festival together. She was quite supportive about it and asked them what song they were doing.

"It's a mashup of songs," said Cailyn, winking.

Miss McKay's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Really? What songs?"

"Not telling," the girl replied cheekily. "But we'll take a video and show it to you next week."

Leanne then showed Miss McKay a video that she had secretly taken of Caitlin and Cailyn. They had been singing Time After Time - but in Nightcore, because they both loved it and according to them, it was way better than the original. Cailyn sang along to her video self.
