Never had Leanne thought that she would have to worry about Claire getting an injury. Never.

Claire had always been the shy, guarded type of girl who always studied and did nothing outside her comfort zone, so there was practically 0.000000001% chance of her getting hurt. So when Theresa invited Claire to go and skateboard with her, Leanne hadn't thought that something majorly bad could happen.

She was totally wrong.

The day started out great, though. Caitlin had texted the group chat saying she was going over to Cailyn's place because Cailyn wanted her to help her with something. Theresa then asked Claire to come and skateboard with her (on the group chat and in person on Claire's doorstep, according to what Claire had told Leanne). Leanne had felt like she wanted to do something as well so she texted Anna and Helina to come over and see if they wanted to just draw. She would've invited Claire, but Claire was already busy, although Claire was really regretting agreeing to skateboard with Theresa as soon as she heard the three girls were doing art-related stuff.

Leanne wasn't a bad drawer herself, and she was thinking that maybe they could help each other with their drawing skills. Anna wanted to be an artist when she grew up, so she was practising, and Helina did drawing lessons.

Before they came over, however, her mother had unnerved her. She questioned Leanne about her singing lessons. Leanne and Cailyn would have had their singing lessons today, but their teacher had changed the day from Saturday to Sunday because it was more convenient for her. Leanne didn't mind, and neither did Cailyn, but they had a feeling that Sarah would be calling her a selfish bitch somewhere. Which was ironic, since she was the bitchy princess herself.

Oh wait, someone else was already the bitchy princess. (BP... -_-)

Leanne's mother had asked her if she had ever wanted to continue singing as a career. That question had caught Leanne off-guard. To her, singing was just like a passion, a hobby that she did for fun. She never had thought of singing as a career. She would never be able to succeed. But then again, she never thought that she would be able to come second in a singing concert, or be able to have professional singing lessons so she could be ready to compete in a national singing competition.

Speaking of the singing concert, it turned out that Leanne and Cailyn had come first after all. Claudia, who had known about their singing lessons, had posted something on Instagram that told everyone about them and their singing lessons and all. Most people were happy for them, except Ashleigh. When she had found out, she had been in a rage and bullied more people than usual and without mercy. She had pushed Helina so hard that she had nearly fallen onto the bin - if Caitlin hadn't rushed to stop her fall in time.

Cailyn had been really angry by that. She had gotten her revenge by putting a fake spider in Ashleigh's pencilcase (with Theresa's help) and scaring the hell out of Ashleigh and her closest friend, Chiara. Ashleigh had sworn to kill whoever had done that, but she couldn't find the culprit, and she never would.

So when Ashleigh had complained to her mother about others being selected to compete in a national singing competition when she was the one who came first, her mother had immediately booked a meeting with the principal and complained in behalf of her daughter. Somebody had eavesdropped on them, and word got out that Ashleigh's mother had bribed the principal to purposefully allow her daughter and her friend to come first in the singing concert, even if they weren't good (which they weren't). She had promised to personally give the principal a few thousand more dollars in cash if he did what she asked him to do. He agreed.

It was horrible to see the bad things people would do just for money. For some ungrateful people, money was all they cared about. Take a fake friend for example. Fake friends only wanted to be friends with a certain person if they could get something out of them. If they could use them, then they would stay friends with them. If they saw that they got no value or benefit out of those people, they left them. But they would come back if you bribed them back with money. Even if they didn't want to at all, they would, just to get their hands on the cash. It was disgusting.
