Caitlin sat cross-legged on the floor of Theresa's house, watching Cailyn sing random songs. She was practising her singing skills for her first professional singing lesson, which was in two days.

They all had planned to help both Leanne and Cailyn prepare for their first lesson, but there was one complication: Cailyn still wasn't talking to Leanne (although she now sat with everyone else again, because Helina persuaded her to), and so there was still a crack in their friendship. Caitlin and Helina had been trying to mend that crack for the whole week, but Cailyn remained stubborn and refused to forgive Leanne - just yet. And Theresa wasn't budging either...so Cailyn and Theresa were still mad at Leanne. Anna had started to get a little mad at Theresa for not forgiving Leanne, and they hadn't talked much either.

Caitlin sighed inwardly. That was way too many friendship problems to handle in the past month.

Since Leanne and Cailyn weren't really talking to each other, Claire had decided that they split up into two groups. One group would be with Leanne and the other with Cailyn. They let Claire organise it all because she was the most organised out of all of them. So Anna, Helina and Claire would be with Leanne, and Caitlin and Theresa would be with Cailyn. Caitlin had persuaded Helina to go with Leanne to try and help her with ways to get Cailyn to forgive her.

Now, Theresa was absent-mindedly texting someone on her phone on Skype. Caitlin leaned over and saw the name: Ricky. Oh. She was texting her boyfriend. Caitlin tried her hardest not to look. It was private, after all.

Caitlin had been the first one to arrive at Theresa's house, and Theresa's mother had been very nice to her and had asked her if she wanted tea. Caitlin said yes and Theresa's mother made milk tea for the three of them. As Caitlin drank tea, Theresa's mother started telling her a little bit about Theresa's past. Theresa's dad had a job that required him to go all around the world, and lately, he had moved to America because of his job. So therefore, Theresa hadn't seen her father for nearly eight months. Caitlin glanced at Theresa with pity, but Theresa was staring at her tea and refused to meet her eyes. It was obviously a sore subject to her.

Theresa's mother had been happy that Theresa was having such a good time at her new high school. She told Caitlin that Theresa's old school had been full of violent bullies that wrestled everyone to the ground everyday just for fun, and Theresa had hated the 'friends' she made there. Apparently they all seemed to have an obsession with killing. Caitlin shuddered. Like Helina, she couldn't stand blood and gross things related to it.

Theresa's mother also mentioned that Theresa had been going to Scouts ever since she was a little girl and she loved it. She also made a joke about how that was where Theresa got her rough personality from. Caitlin could already tell she got the love-for-makeup personality from her mother. Theresa's mother had full-on makeup, not to mention cherry red lips and very thick eyelashes. And she had also curled her hair.

With her short straight hair (a.k.a a bob), Theresa hardly looked anything like her mother. Their only resemblance was their face features.

Cailyn then arrived a few minutes later, and the three girls had set up the microphone (and the microphone stand) that Theresa's mother owned because she enjoyed singing karaoke so much, and then she had started singing.

"Okay, that was a horrible song," said Cailyn as she finished.

"But you sounded so good!" said Caitlin, giving her a hug.

Cailyn grinned. "Your turn to sing."

Caitlin recoiled. "Oh, no. I suck at singing. How about you and Theresa sing together?"

Theresa looked up from where she had been playing Candy Crush on her phone. "Hey, what?"

"Come on, you were in the choir at your old high school," Caitlin pressed. "Your mother told me. So you can sing well too. So go up there and sing!"
