Part 2: Chapter 2

Lib, Eden, and Mitchell take a walk out at night after returning from a fight show. Lib had put a bet on a hefty guy to win, and it looked like the odds were not in her favor as she walked out the place with nothing in her hands.

"How the hell did that little guy beat Kurt's ass?" Mitchell asks, talking about the big guy Lib betted on.

"Who knows?" Eden replies, chuckling.

"Well whatever meds he's on, I want some." Lib jokes.

"Aw! Tired of being all short and frail?" Eden asks Lib.

"Shut up, dork. I could easily beat your boney ass." Lib tells her, hooking her arm around Eden's neck. Mitchell laughs at the girls.

"So Cadet Gallagher, how's West Point goin'?" Mitchell asks Eden.

"At the moment, it's going absolutely nowhere." Eden says, a bit discouraged.

"Hey, turn that frown upside down!" Lib says to Eden. "I told you I got you." Eden nods, believing her. Lib then looks at Mitchell. "So Ricki's gonna be let out soon, right?" Lib asks, and then sneaks a look at Eden.

Eden still hadn't told Mitchell about her and Ricki's affairs, and sometimes it made Eden feel ashamed that she was keeping such a crazy secret from her best friend. Sometimes Eden would ask herself if she was ashamed of her feelings for Ricki.

"In about a week." Mitchell finally answers. "If she doesn't stab anybody else." Lib stares at Mitchell, surprised.

"Wait, seriously?" Eden asks, shocked as well. C'mon Ricki, get your shit together, Eden says in her mind.

"She used a plastic fork." Mitchell continues. "Nearly cut some kid's skin, so they added 4 more weeks." Eden shook her head in dismay.

"Damn." Lib says. "Well, are you gonna be happy to have Godzilla back home?" Lib asks Mitchell, smiling.

"Sure." Mitchell answers. "Because I've missed my bitch of a sister so much."

"You did!" Eden teases as she pokes at Mitchell's stomach playfully. Mitchell smiles, but ignores her.

"You are so sweet." Lib teases as well, and nudges Mitchell in the shoulder. Mitchell shrugs her off.

"You guys are dicks." Mitchell tells them.

"No, we think it's cute that you miss your big sister!" Lib says and laughs with Eden. Mitchell rolls his eyes.

"I gotta stop hanging out with you girls." Mitchell says, smiling anyway.

Days went by, and Eden saw that the tall, blonde lady was a frequent visitor at the store. Just about every afternoon, she'd walk in (with shades on) and go straight into the storage room where Kesh would always wait for her. After the first day Eden saw the lady, Eden never asked Kesh about it again, but of course it made her very curious about what they both had going on.

This afternoon, Eden walks to the Kesh & Grab a little earlier than usual. But once Eden enters the store, she doesn't even notice Kesh anywhere. Waiting for her visitor, Eden thinks to herself and goes over to the back of the counter. She notices fresh doughnuts on one of the stands, and does not second guess herself as she grabs one and stuffs her face. Suddenly, a faint sound comes from the back of the store. Eden raises an eyebrow and looks behind her.
