Two months zipped past, and it was now the month of April. Eden had been doing a fairly good job carrying on a steady life. She did the right thing by basically disconnecting herself completely from Ness/Lynda. Instead she began focusing on bigger situations that typical teens would think about: school, summertime (now that June was around the corner), work, and family. And of course her staggering relationship with Ricki.
Eden was highly determined that this was going to be the year that she figured Ricki out. Ricki was so full of tricks and bullshit, and Eden found it extremely hard to keep up. Sometimes it was difficult to understand when Ricki was being true to Eden, or when she was pulling off some façade. But no matter what, Eden understood one thing for sure, and it was that Ricki wanted to be with Eden. But did that mean the same thing for her as it did for Eden? Both girls are such different breeds, but still they desperately try to do anything in order for them to understand each other better. But those attempts always seem to backfire in their faces dramatically every time.
While lounging on the sofa in her living room, Eden silently ponders on her struggles in maintaining a love life. But soon, something cold causes her to almost jump out her skin. She looks up and sees Mitchell pressing a cold soda can on her arm. She smiles, forgetting that he had been here all along for at least two hours now.
"Thanks." Eden shakily says, and takes the soda can from him.
"Lost in your thoughts again I take it." Mitchell comments as he walks back to the kitchen. Eden shrugs.
"Can't help it." Eden replies. "Bored."
"You could join me in the kitchen." Mitchell suggests. "There's loads of dishes in this sink." Eden laughs.
"Good one." Eden says while gurgling on her soda.
A minute passes by, and they hear the back door unlock. It's Lib. Her eyes are very skeptical as she sees Mitchell over by the sink. After she finishes wiping her shoes on the outdoor mat, she walks in and shuts the door.
"Hi." Mitchell replies over the flow of the water in the sink. Lib pauses and, for once, she looks at him directly.
"Hello." She carefully replies, and then carries on walking forward. She enters the living room, and then looks at Eden.
"Hi." Eden says, almost singing the word. Lib walks over to the closet.
"He's doing dishes." Lib says, but she speaks softly for only the two of them to hear.
"Yes. He is." Eden confirms.
"I don't understand." Lib says to her, and puts her coat in the closet.
"He also did some laundry." Eden informs her. Lib walks over to Eden, giving her a concerned look.
"Why?" Lib asks slowly.
"I think he's just being helpful." Eden answers.
"Isn't it a bit of a weird coincidence that those all happen to be my chores today?" Lib asks, folding her arms.
"Are you complaining?" Eden asks her back, sipping at her soda. Lib huffs.
"This is getting absolutely ridiculous." Lib says, clearly getting beyond aggravated.
"What, you not talking to him still? Yeah, I also thought that was pretty ridiculous." Eden starkly says.
"Well you know what, the both of you are not making this very easy for me." Lib argues. Eden finally looks at her.
