At school, Mitchell and Eden loiter beside their lockers as they watch the bustling groups of teens walk around and about the halls. The morning expeditions of people were something that Eden and Mitchell shared a laugh for together. Watching how the teachers couldn't keep the coffee in their mugs since kids bumped into them too often. And how other kids blasted multiple songs on speakers, thinking that everyone else cared to listen to their music. Mitchell and Eden just couldn't help but joke around every morning.

Eden looks around, and soon nudges Mitchell in the arm.

"Hey, look. Here comes Johnson and his wrist iPod jockey." Eden chuckles as she stares at a skinny junior walk past them. "Do you think he ever hit it off with that chick from Cavey's?" Eden asks Mitchell, but she receives no response. She turns to look at him, and pokes him repeatedly in the shoulder. She becomes concerned until she notices exactly what Mitchell has been staring at this whole time.

After a few moments, Eden takes a step in front of Mitchell who is still pretty much in a daze. To get his full attention, Eden taps his forehead with her knuckle and Mitchell immediately looks at Eden.

"What the hell?" Mitchell asks rubbing furiously at his forehead. "Why would you do that?"

"Dude, you totally missed out on making iPod jockey jokes on Johnson!" Eden fake whines. Mitchell sucks his teeth, still trying to get over the throb on his forehead. "Besides," Eden starts. "I was through with watching the water drip from your mouth."

Mitchell goes to rub his mouth, but then looks at Eden and realizes that she's joking. He turns his gaze back to the girl he was staring at.

Lib.

She was speaking to a teacher, but didn't look at all interested in what the man was talking about. Nonetheless, to Mitchell, all he cared about was how radiant she looked today.

"Mitch, this is heartbreaking." Eden suddenly says. Mitchell rests his back more on the locker. "Seriously. You need to talk to her." Mitch then looks at Eden again.

"This isn't one of your not-so-casual hook-ups with married women out and about the town." Mitchell tells her sternly. "This was a one-night stand that actually meant something to me. And I'm trying to play it safe so that I don't lose it, okay?"

Eden can't even protest. He made a point. But he had no idea that she's gone through these exact same feelings. She even still has these jittery feelings. And ironically enough, it was for his sister as well.

Eden huffs the hair away from her face. She was letting Mitchell win this one.

"Wait, wait, shut up! Shut up! I think she's walking toward us." Mitchell says, punching Eden in the arm nervously.

"What the hell? I didn't even say anything!" Eden shrieks.

Within a minute, Lib was beside them. She looked exhausted from the teacher that'd been talking her ear off.

"Sup, Lib." Mitchell tries to say casually.

"Hi." Lib answers, but to Mitchell's disappointment, she doesn't give him eye contact. Eden even rolls her eyes at her.

"What were you talking to Mr. Knap about?" Eden asks, quickly shifting the awkward moment.

"Stupid shit I ain't got time for right now." Lib answers, stuffing her fists in her pocket. "He's just bein' like all the other teachers here who are bustin' my balls over scholarships."
