Eden was back at home once the evening began to approach. She sat on the floor by her bed, beside Lib and Mitchell as they discussed movies or whatever it was that they were flirting about. Meanwhile, Eden was going through such a mind-blowing realization.

Ricki, for the first time ever, kissed Eden. It hadn't even been that long, so of course Eden was able to remember it as if it happened only a second ago. But she imagined she'd always remember that memory in that way.

What's better is that the kiss wasn't just some cute middle school peck where Ricki ran away before she could see Eden's reaction. This was a soft, good 16 second kiss where they both shared mutual passion. And Ricki held Eden and looked into her eyes after it was over. Anytime Eden ever wanted to share a moment such as that, Ricki was sure to ruin it in the best way she could. It was still so hard to fathom that, this time, Ricki was the one to initiate something.

What did this mean for Eden and Ricki now? The game has changed, and though Eden was very excited, she couldn't deny that she was also becoming very overwhelmed. Ricki was known for feeling one way, but then feeling something different the next minute, for reasons Eden was still trying to understand. In the beginning, Eden was just sure that Ricki was ashamed of admitting who she was. But now this kiss was giving Eden a whole new puzzle to solve.

I need to speak to her. I need to see her again. Eden thinks to herself. She was determined to try to speak with Ricki, and was willing to deal with whatever willfulness that Ricki was sure to give her.

Eden then taps Mitchell's shoulder. After he's done discussing his (probably corny) joke with Lib, he gives Eden his attention.

"What's up?" Mitchell asks her.

"Ricki got a cell phone?" Eden blurts out since there was no way she could say that without it being skeptical.

"Mm, yeah." Mitchell answers hesitantly.

"Number?" Eden asks, and gets up to grab her own phone from the desk. She tosses the phone into Mitchell's lap and he goes to Eden's contacts while giving her weird glances at the same time.

"Why do you ask?" Mitchell then asks. Eden parts her mouth open, but doesn't know how to the word her sentence. Her look travels toward Lib as she gives her encouraging eyes that tell Eden, "Go for it. Tell him." But Eden can't.

"Isn't it obvious? I just need to contact her for... erm, business." Eden lies. Mitchell gives her one last peculiar stare, and then looks down at the cell phone to type in Ricki's number.

"She rarely speaks to anyone face to face." Mitchell informs Eden. "I'm sure she'd speak the same amount over the phone." He hands Eden the cell phone back, and Eden then pounces on her bed as Mitchell and Lib continue to talk.

Eden swiftly taps Ricki's number on her screen and goes to Messages. She lies there for a minute, deciding what to say. She couldn't sound stupid. She couldn't sound boring.
