Working at the Kesh & Grab is the most boring job that Ricki has ever had to do. And though she hasn't had much experience in any workplace, she still confirmed that the Kesh & Grab was the worst. She was working as security, but there was never much to secure. If food items were being stolen, it was only by little rugrats who eventually soiled their pants after Ricki would catch them red-handed.

But who was she kidding? Ricki knew exactly why she took this job.

At the moment, Ricki stands by the front door (like she usually does), and she looks around the boring atmosphere. But, from time to time, she'd sneak a look over to Eden who was silently by the counter looking down at some math work she's been studying lately.

Ricki could not put her finger on it. Was it the hair? Her cakey aroma as she walked out a room? The way she acts modest about her curves that reveal themselves perfectly in tight clothes? Ricki just couldn't say what it was that made her so captivated by Eden. She refused to think it was a crush, or even the big L word. She could never think that.

Ricki looks over at the counter again, and immediately could tell that Eden was just as bored as she was. Eden was putting her fingers through her hair and then would place parts of the hair over her face.

Ricki had to confess that this was all very new to her. She knew what happened to all the women in the dumbass chick flicks, but she never got to personally know what it's like to get a fuzzy feeling just from watching a person make a mustache with strands of their hair.

I've turned into such a fucking dork... What's happened to me? Ricki thinks, angrily, to herself.

Eden then unexpectedly whips her head in Ricki's direction, and Ricki quickly puts her head back down. Her eyes dart everywhere. Eden then laughs that sweet, sweet laugh.

"Caught ya. Nice try, Ricki." She says, and Ricki looks up, trying to act confused.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Ricki asks, hiding the embarrassment down in her throat.

"You were totally just gawking at me. Again." She says, smiling and twirling her hair around her pinky finger.

"Don't flatter yourself. I wasn't checking you out or anything." Ricki defends herself, but the look on Eden's face tells Ricki that she isn't buying it. Eden was about to say something sassy back until an unexpected customer decides to pop in.

Faye trudges into the store, and Eden looks at her with utter confusion. Faye has bags under her eyes, wrinkled clothes on, and she reeked of an odor that could not be explained in words. Basically, she looked the way she always did. But it didn't make sense that Faye would come all the way over to this part of the town. She doesn't acknowledge Eden or Ricki as well. She just makes her way toward the fridges.

Eden looks down at the counter, and Ricki walks around awkwardly. She knew about Eden's feelings toward her mother pretty well by now. She decided to talk about something just to ease the tension that floated about in the air.

"What's this nerd trash?" Ricki openly asks Eden, tapping the papers on the counter. Eden looks up at Ricki, and doesn't even try to hide her relief.

"Uh, this? They're just geometry theorems." Eden answers. Ricki scratches her eyebrow.

"Why did I even ask?" Ricki mumbles to herself, and Eden giggles. "Let me guess, this is still for the Army?"
