Only about 5 days passed since that terrible night.

Surprisingly, Eden only needed one day to get her head on straight. She's been doing so much thinking lately. Thinking about escaping her life for a while. She was starting to wonder if she was beginning to become completely insane. The kind of ideas she conjured up in her head seemed so irrational and outrageous that Eden couldn't believe she was really considering doing these things. But then again, everything that's been currently happening to her was very outrageous. On top of that, it was hectic and depressing, and Eden felt like she desperately needed to escape this lingering atmosphere. Immediately.

And that's exactly what she was planning to do.

It was a Friday afternoon. Normally Eden would be arriving home from school at this hour, but she's been home all day. In fact, she hasn't been in school for a couple of days now. She's been too occupied with plans.

Eden has threatened to run away from home many times as a young girl, but tonight she was a strong, prepared woman. She was determined that, this time, no games were being played.

She was leaving. For real this time.

Her plan, though very foolish, seemed to be playing out well in her favor. No one suspected anything of her, therefore no one interfered.

She didn't once imagine the consequences of this escape. She knew that would only slow her down or make her want to back out, and she knew she couldn't do that. She had to follow through with this. No matter how scary it all was.

Eden is in her bedroom, alone. She kneels on the ground and in front of her lays a duffel bag she took from Fabian's bedroom without being seen. She had no idea what would be appropriate to bring for the destination she'd be going to, but she decided that it'd be best to bring the basic necessities. She was stashing everything away into the bag, but she was doing it slowly, as if studying the item and how it looks in the room she's in. The room she probably won't see for some time.

Soon, out of nowhere, there is a sudden knock at her bedroom door. Eden jumps up, but quickly slides the bag under her bed. She wasn't expecting anyone to arrive home so soon.

The person who knocked doesn't even let Eden allow them to come in. The door just quickly opens.

It's Fabian.

He immediately looks suspicious and Eden feels her plans crumbling away. Fabian gazes around, feeling like something is terribly awry about the bedroom. Eden's position wasn't helping her seem all that innocent either. She was looking at him with bulged eyes and with her hands in her lap like a little preschooler who was caught red-handed doing something they shouldn't have. Despite that, Eden was still trying her best to keep a cool composure.

"What're you doin'?" Fabian finally blurts out. Eden's ears turn bright red.

"What do you mean? I'm not doing anything, you should really knock." Eden says, without a breath in between her words. Fabian's look of concern remains on his face.

"You're home pretty early." Fabian mentions sensibly.

"Mhm, yeah." Eden coolly answers. "So are you." Fabian continues to just stare at Eden, then around at the room again. Eden was getting anxious. "You need something?" she asks him.

"Uh," Fabian thinks. "Well I just noticed only the bottom lock was locked on the front door, so I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some burglar in the house."

"Sorry." Eden quickly says. She was ready for him to close the door. "Don't worry, it won't happen again." She says afterwards, but the sentence makes her feel terrible inside. Would it really never happen again?
