Lexi's POV

I got up pretty early, considering I keep waking up anyway. I left Carl so he could sleep and I changed into a red flannel shirt and some black skinny jean with my converse. I out my hair in a ponytail and walked downstairs. No one was making breakfast so I looked in the fridge and found some left over bacon. I heated the three pieces up and ate them In my own silence.

When I was done i walked out on the porch and saw people writing names on the wall. People who had died. I walled down the stairs and over to the wall where I saw Jessie.

" hey Lexi." She said, her tone sounded depressed compared to her usual happiness. I have her a half smile and notice she had a list of names she had to paint onto the wall.

" need any help?" I asked and she looked down.

" if you want you can paint the last two names." She said handing me the list and walking away. I looked at the two names and tear flooded my eyes. Nicholas, Glenn.

I blinking the tears away and grabbed the paintbrush, dipping in the black paint and started with the N. Next was Glenn's names and it broke my head to even start on it. I don't believe he is dead. I never believed he was dead.

As I finished painting the name I turned around and saw Maggie staring at me, face full of hatred and disgust.

" Maggie.." I started and her eyes started tearing up.

" why does everyone assume he is dead. Glenn is a strong man. He can live out there but no one see,s to think he can survive on his own." She said, her voice getting higher on every word.

" Maggie it's not like that. It's only there till he gets back" Jessie said.

" and who's idea was it to put his name up there anyways. Cause they seem pretty convinced he's dead." She stated and walked away. I saw Maggie walk into the armory in the distance and I followed her.

When I walked in I saw her packing ammo up.

" your going to look for him?" I asked. She didn't respond to my statement in any way.

" I can't let you go, not by yourself." I said and she turned around and looked at me.

" you can't stop me." She said and continued.

" than I'm going with." I said and grabbed a gun. She shook her head.

" your pregnant.." She told me.

" you can't stop me either. Maggie your not the only one who cares about Glenn and thinks he's still alive. I do too! So it's my choice." I said and she sighed.

After we gathered up all the ammo we'd need we sat out in the porch.

" we can't just jump over the wall, we'd break a leg." I said and she nodded.

" we need someone we can trust to help up.... Aaron!" She said and I nodded. We grabbed our bags and walled to Aaron's house. We knocked on the door and he answered.

" we need your help." Maggie said, her voice shaking. He raised and eyebrow.

" we need a safe way out without anyone knowing." She added and he obviously knew why we were leaving.

We followed Aaron to a place he said would take us through the sewage holes that will lead us under the wall.

" I haven't been down here since the start, so no telling what we might run into." He said while opening it. We nodded and followed him down into the hole. He turned in a flashlight and we started walking. It was silent except for our loud footsteps, echoing throughout the tunnel.

We turned a corner where the other way was blocked by a fence.

" told ya." He said and started to pull on it. When he seemed to not get it I grabbed part of the filthy fence and started to pull with him. It came loose and I fell back on my butt and two sewage covered walkers emerged from the tunnel.

One went towards Aaron as the other went after Maggie. Aaron killed his as Maggie was having trouble. She stuck her hand under its rubs and tried to push it away, but it wouldn't budge. I grabbed my knife and stood up. Aaron stabbed it in the head before I could get to it and we sighed, turned down the tunnel and walled away like nothing happened.

We came to the end of the tunnel. It was a cage like door at the end and you can see out of it.

" the walkers are still too close." I said. Maggie sighed and leaned against the side.

" I need him. I didn't go look for him before cause I didn't believe he was gone. But I can't go now because I don't want to know if he's dead." She mumbled and I felt tears a the brim of my eyes.

" I'm pregnant." She said and I looked at her.

" why don't we go back." Aaron said and we didn't agree, just followed him back.

When we did get back I helped Maggie put all the weapons back. She was done and she started to walk away.

"Maggie." I said and she stopped. I walled up to her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders. She hugged me back and cried in my shoulder.

" I don't know what to do Lexi. I-I need him so much right now." She said and sobbed harder. I nodded and pulled away, grabbing her hand and walled out. We walled towards the wall and handed her a water bottle. She walled up to Glenn's name and poured water on it. She started to rub the name off and I started to rub off Nicholas's.

When we were done she went back to her house and stayed at the wall. I just sat against it, listening to the hundreds of walkers pressing trying to get In. I didn't actually know how many there was. I looked up and sat Carl in the guard tower.

I got up and walled over to the stairs and walled up to the top. Carl looked at me and smiled. I walled over to him and he brought me into his arms and I just laid my head on his chest and looked out at the sunset. The walkers down below me made me realize that no one can get out. That means that when we run out of food... We will have to find a way out and get some.

I looked up at Carl and he kissed my head. I smiled and we went back home and went to sleep.
