Chapter 22. Aaron

Lexi's POV

I felt hay poking at my back and opened my eyes. This is not how I wanted to wake up, but I guess it's not the worst. I sat up and picked the hay out of my hair and put it in a ponytail.

I saw Sasha and Maggie walked outside and I decided to get some fresh air too. I grabbed my gun and quietly walking out the door. There was trees knocked down everywhere from the storm. Wow.

I jumped over a small tree and caught up to Maggie and Sasha.

" morning." I said and they smiled at me. This is the most calm I've see Sansa in a longggg time. I closed my eyes and let the small breeze blow around my body. I heard a stick crack. My eyes shot open and saw a man. We held up our guns and he out his hands up.

" I mean no harm. I would like to talk to your leader, Rick." He said and I moved in closer.

" how do you know his name?" Maggie yelled at him. He stayed silent and I grabbed his hands and tied his hands together with my belt. I pushed him forward and Sasha grabbed his shoulder.

I opened the barn doors and saw everyone was awake.

" Rick!" I yelled and he came. Daryl pointed his bow at the guy and I ran to Carl.

" are you okay?" He asked and hugged me. I nodded and he kissed my head.

An hour has passed and we found out a lot over the guy. His names Aaron and he said that he lives in a big community. It's called Alexandria. It had big walls and a lot of people. He claims it's safe but Rick won't believe him that easily.

" I don't believe him." Carl said. I lifted my head off his chest and sat up.

" Carl I saw the pictures of that place myself. I think there could actually be a chance. I think we should believe him." I said and he sighed.

" I just want you and Judith to be safe. I want this place to be safe too. So we can have a future." He said and I smiled.

We and Carl never really talking about our future.

"Maggie, Glenn, Abraham, Rosita , Tara and Lexi. I want you to go check to see if Aaron's cars are really the here." Rick said and gave Abraham the directions. I hugged and kissed Carl and left.

We made our way down the highway and I was cleaning off my knife.

" you know you really are like Daryl." Tara said. Me and her haven't really talked much but I like her.

" thanks I guess." I said and smiled.

" this guy wasn't lying." Abraham said and I looked up. There was an RV and a small car. In my mind I want to scream I told you but I knew that would attract walkers.

  We started walking back and I looked over in the field next to us. There was an old red tracker in the middle and I eyed it a little. I felt like someone was watching me, but it was probably in my imagination.

  When we got back Abraham told Rick that Aaron was t lying. He directed that we would go. I walked into my bag and packed all my stuff in it and reloading my guns. I put my hand gun on its holster and my knife also. I got my machine gun  and swung it around my back.

" is everyone ready." Rick asked and we all nodded.

  When we got to the vehicles I got in the RV with everyone else, while Rick, Michonne, and Aaron drove in the car.

  I went to back and laid down on the bed. Soon Carl came and joined me and he was playing with my hair. We didn't talk, just sat there in our own silence waiting for a safe place.

  I felt the RV shake and I looked out the window. There was walkers everywhere. I gasped and grabbed my stuff. I knew this ride wouldn't last long.

  Abraham ordered us all to run out and follow him. Of course we did. He looked at the map as he ran killing any walkers in his way. We came up to a small house looking barn and a man was there.

" where's Aaron!?" He yelled.

" we lost them back there?" I said  and he began to cry. He grabbed a flare and shot it into the air. He limped back into the house and I could tell his ankle was sprained. I knocked then walking in.

" hi I'm Lexi. I hunk I might be able to help you." I soda and pointed to his ankle.

" thank you Lexi. I'm Eric." He said and I smiled at him. I pulled some gauze out of my back and wrapped it up. I have him a few pain pills and he smiled. I head talking and Aaron walked in. I left the room and hugged Rick and Michonne.

  Aaron walked out and thanked me for helping Eric and said we would leave as soon as the sun rose. I sat down next to Carl and shut my eyes, falling asleep.
