Chapter 18. Dixon blood

Lexi's POV

I woke up and my head and body was hurting like crazy. I sat up and went over to my backpack and took some ibuprofen. I sat down and sighed. I looked over at Ally and she was awake looking down.

"Ally, Lexi, Daryl, Maggie and Glenn, we're all going on a run in five minutes so be ready." Rick announced. I nodded and Daryl walked up to him.

"Lexi is in no condition to be doing that." He said and I walked up to them.

"Daryl I'm fine!" I looked at Rick and smiled." Ill be ready." I told him and he nodded. I grabbed some clean clothes and walking into the back room. I changed into some tan pants, a white shirt and my heavy jacket over it. I put my hair in a ponytail and put my boots back on. I walked out and carl walked up to me.

"Babe, I don't want you going on that run. Your hurt and I don't want you in the same car as that girl." He said and I smiled and hugged him.

"I'll ride with Daryl and I'm going. I'll be carful and you'll see me in a few hours alive." He said and he nodded and kissed me. I walked over to Rick and he nodded at me and I followed him out the door. I got on the back of Daryl's motorcycle and we drove off.

  When we got to the town Rick said for me to go get food and I grabbed a basket and ran down through Walmart. When I found all the food I put all the food that wasn't that expired in it and turned a corner. I was suddenly pushed to the ground and I dropped the basket. I looked up and there was Ally with a knife.

  "Haha, Carls not gonna see you back alive." She said and I tried to get up but she kicked me and I felt a sharp pain in my leg. She cut a big hash in my leg and looked up. I heard growls and she ran away with all the food. I scooted in an isle and covered my mouth as walkers passed me, a lot of them. I sighed as they were gone and tried to get up. I stood up and put all my weight on my leg that wasn't cut.

  I began limping till I saw figures outside, I saw Daryl push Ally to the ground and he was crying. I wanted to yell for him but there was walkers at the door and they would come after me if I did. I turned around and started towards the back. I got out my gun and found the back door.

  I opened it and put on my silencer. My coat has a lot of pockets. A walker was coming right towards me and I shot it in the head. I tried to limo faster and when I got the front parking lot, they were all gone. I don't know how to react. I looked down and shut my eyes. I felt a tear slip down my face. I whipped it off and unzipped my coat. I tore a piece of my shirt off and tied it at the top of my cut to slow the bleeding. I looked at the road a head of me and sighed.

"Your Lexi Dixon. You have Dixon blood. Dixon's don't go down." I said to myself and started to walk.
