Castiel ended up watching The Warriors with Sam, Gabriel, and Balthazar. Castiel was in the middle of Balthazar and Gabe, and Gabriel was next to Sam. Sam apparently knew a lot about the film, he talked about how one part was improvised and probably the most famous line in the movie. Castiel only half paid attention to Sam's commentary, he didn't really care, he didn't even really care about the actual movie either. It wasn't like he was tired; he just didn't want to do anything.
Which is why he was a little annoyed when his phone rang.
Castiel excused himself, not wanting to disturb the others while they watched their movie. The caller ID told him Ash was calling.
"Hello?" Castiel answered.
"Hey'a Cass-t-el. Wanna meet up?" Castiel rubbed a hand over his face and sighed.
"I don't feel like it today, Ash."
"Aw, come on now. I'm at the park off Maple, you know the place right? I'm sitting on a swing watching the sunset." Castiel closed his eyes. He did know the place Ash was talking about, he'd gone there a few times with him before.
"Are you high?"
"Wrong sin."
Castiel thought for a moment. "You're drunk?"
Ash just laughed in the other line.
"Come over. I don't even know where I left my car." Castiel groaned and looked back at the room Sam and his brothers were in. Castiel assumed Ash was pretty drunk, the park he was talking about was only a few blocks from his house, he wouldn't have driven a car.
"You said you're on a swing?"
"Yeah...dude, the sunset's so beautiful. It's like the sun's dissolving into space. All the colors are combing into one. You should be here."
"Just stay where you are. I'll be there in twenty minutes."
"Okay, but you'll miss the sunset."
Castiel hung up. He went to where his brothers were and told them he had to go somewhere. They asked where he was going and when he'd be back, but Castiel responded vaguely and said he'd be back soon.
Castiel went to his own car (it was actually Michael's but he liked to ignore that fact) and started to drive to the park off of Maple St.
Castiel liked the constant stimuli of the music from his radio. He didn't like to think and the mindless thrum of notes helped distract him from wandering thoughts.
About twenty minutes later he arrived at the park. Castiel saw Ash from where he parked his car. Sure enough he was sitting on a swing, gently rocking and staring out at the sky. Castiel spotted a half empty liquor bottle beside the boy. He shook his head silently and started walking over to Ash.
Wood chips crunched beneath his feet and the wind hit his face with a cold sting. He was glad he picked up a sweatshirt when he left, although he still felt a chill piercing through the thin fabric.
When Ash saw Castiel he smiled. "Hey, you're here!" His voice was loud and his words were more slurred than they were on the phone. "You missed the sunset," Ash said. He pointed off in the distance, it was were he was staring before. "It's all dark now." Castiel nodded his head and moved to sit down in the swing next to Ash.
"Are you okay?" Castiel asked. Ash laughed.
"Why do you ask that, Cassie?"
Castiel looked over, Ash had picked up the bottle of whatever alcohol he was drinking and put the tip to his lips.

Fanfic"So, I know Mr. Shurley said this was for English," Dean spoke, making Castiel's stomach flutter. How could a voice do that? He thought. "But I was going to ask you to- uh-" he rummaged in his backpack and took out a crumbled piece of paper. "Do you...
