Dean was only half asleep when he told Castiel to come to bed with him, but when he woke up with his arms around the smaller boy's middle and his face pressed against his back he could help but feel a bit shocked. In all actuality being with a man- being with Castiel was a bit of a shock.
He didn't know what to think about himself. He knew Castiel was gay, he told him as much...but Dean? He wouldn't call himself gay, or bi, or anything else he could be. He was just a guy, that happened to really like another guy that at the moment was sharing a bed with him.
Not gay?
...It's a little gay.
Dean was okay with that tough. He had come to term with his feelings when he first met Castiel -that was one of the first times he realized he could have feelings for another man. His dad wasn't so pleased about his new found sexuality, but Sammy was okay with it, so Dean was too.
Then suddenly Dean's father left him and his brother with Bobby. Which was almost better...Bobby was accepting. Which was nice, especially since Dean was confused. He found out about being gay, and straight, and bi, and pan, and everything else. It was a little to much for him and in the end he decided that he didn't care what he was. He didn't need a label and he would just be whatever he was. He didn't understand why people didn't understand that, or why other felt a need to lash out against people who did use the labels. People were people.
Dean wasn't straight and Castiel was gay. (These are facts that they both are aware of...now, at least.)
Dean sighed tiredly. He looked over Castiel's sleeping form and then closed his eyes. He pressed his forehead in between Castiel's shoulder blades, wrapping his arms tighter around Castiel. The boy shifted and Dean let him turn and face him. Castiel opened his eyes slowly. Blinking at the changes in light and moving his hands so they pressed against Deans chest. When Castiel's eyes opened fully and he was awake, he just stared at Dean.
"Hi." Dean said in a hushed tone. His arms were still around Castiel.
"Hello." Castiel replied. Dean smiled then pulled Castiel closer.
"Could I kiss you?" Dean asked. Castiel blushed and looked away, but nodded his head.
Dean moved his head in and pressed his lips to Castiel's. Castiel was slow to react, stiffening at the contact, but eventually moving his lips similarly to Dean's. Castiel put his hands on Deans cheeks and in his hair. Dean groaned and shifted, moving so he would hover over Castiel, straddling Castiel's hips and having his hands on either side of Castiel's face. The kiss was warm and slow from them just waking up.
It was perfect.
It conveyed their love in ways their words couldn't.
That was until the door opened.
"Dean, you have to get- Jesus Christ!" The boys parted and Dean whipped his head in the direction of the door. It was Sam. Dean smiled smugly while Castiel covered his reddening face with his hands. "God! Warn a boy before you do anything! Isn't it early for this?!" Dean laughed at his brother.
"We weren't even doing anything, Sammy." Dean shrugged.
"You're on top of Cas, Dean." Sam exclaimed.
"Well, yeah, I'm not a bottom."
"Dean!" Sam yelled. He shook his head and looked away. He glanced back and squinted his eyes. "Wait. So you and Cas...you guys are...together, then?" Dean removed his gaze from Sam to look at Castiel for a second, then when he looked back at Sam he smiled.
"Yeah." He nodded.
"Oh, well, congratulations, but you need to get off of Cas because we have to leave in fifteen minutes." Sam went to turn around, but stopped short. "And leave a sock on the door next time. Jesus Dean, it's called common curtesy." He shook his head as he closed the door.
"We weren't doing anything!" Dean tried to yell back. He was laughing though. He turned his attention to Castiel, who was still covering his face with his hands. Dean stopped laughing, but let a smile rest on his lips. He brought his hands up to Castiel's, slowly he began to move his hands away from his face, which was pretty red.
"We'll have to lock the door next time." Dean said quietly. Castiel opened his eyes and groaned. Dean pushed their hands against the mattress beside Castiel's head.
"That was embarrassing." Castiel breathed out. Dean chuckled.
"Maybe, but it was bound to happen." Dean smiled and leaned down.
"Are you going to kiss me?" Castiel asked. Dean froze.
"I was hoping to, yes."
"What if we get caught again?"
"I highly doubt Sam's going to come back in."
"What about my brothers, or Bobby?" Dean shrugged and leaned farther down, his lips almost against Castiel's.
"What about them, Castiel?" Dean's warm breathed ghosted over Castiel's lips, and the tone he was using made a shiver run down his spine. Castiel looked Dean in the eyes, there was a gleam of something Castiel could quite put a name to, but it made a strange feeling flow through him.
"N-nothing." Castiel whispered, feeling almost to close to speak any louder. Dean smiled and pressed their lips together again. The kiss was quick, barely longer than a peck, but it still made Castiel happy. When Dean pulled away he brushed a hand through Castiel hair.
"Come on, we're going to be late if we don't hurry." Castiel wanted to tell Dean that if he really didn't want to be late he shouldn't have been trying to kiss him, but he had wanted Dean to kiss him, in fact he almost always wanted Dean to kiss him.
Dean got off of Castiel and stood up. He started waking over to his closet, pulling his shirt off as he made his way to the doors.
Castiel had to try to ignore the pounding in his chest as he saw the muscles in Deans back flex with the movement.
I'm screwed...
