"Oh my gosh it was horrible she made the book catch on fire and around the room! It's like she's never used magic before!" Rose complains as we walks down the stairs to potions class. I laugh remembering the whole thing. I sat behind Rose and Phoebe and when Phoebe tried to levitate a book she said the words wrong and tried hitting the book but made it catch on fire burning her robe.
I worked with a friend that I knew when I was little and we had a lot to catch up on but I am happy I will have a class with her this year.
As we approach the classroom I feel something tickling my ribs and I laugh. I can't stop laughing. I turn around and see Albus grinning slyly and I laugh at him. I look over and see Scorpius trying to sneak up on Rose. I hold back a smile this is not going to end well. As he tugs on her hair she turns around and accidentally smacks him in the face and everyone laughs that saw it. I see Rose's face turn bright red and she hurries into the classroom. I smile apologetically at Albus and then rush after Rose.
"Please take your seats." Professor Cho says with her black hair in a tight bun. She is really pretty but she has super pale skin so she looks kinda like a ghost in my opinion.
"Today we will be working in partners," she says sounding tired, "whichever pair gets furthest in making this potion," she says making a pice of paper with the instructions appear on every desk, "Will get a small vile of Felix Felixis otherwise known as liquid luck. One for each person. " She says earning a few cheers from several students. "Especially with the upcoming game between you both houses." She says brightening a little.
"Now for partners, you can't pair with someone from your own house!" She says. I hear a few groans and sighs but I'm happy I look around the room watching people pair up and the feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Wanna be partners?" Albus asks me when I turn around to face him.
"Sure lets get to work." I say smiling. I am pretty good at potions if I say so myself.
I look at the ingredients then Albus and I get started.
I check the clock then grab the vial and dip it carefully into the cauldron.
"Done!" I say smiling and me and Albus high five. "Good job I'm sure we'll get the potion even though I doubt you need good luck anyway." Albus says smiling. I freeze with a dopey smile on my face. Is this a sign?! I don't now I'm too young for love! What if- "Times up!" Professor Cho calls flicking her wand freezing us momentarily. We are still able to talk and move our heads just not the rest of our bodies. "Hmm," she says looking over all the potions. A lot of people didn't finish but I notice as she walks around that Rose and Scorpius are partners. I smile over at Rose and wiggle my eyebrows earning a death glare and a blush from her.
"The group who gets the potion is....!" Professor Cho says wiggling her eyebrows and getting a drumroll from the ghosts, "Rose and Scorpius!" She says. I can't say I'm surprised. Even though Rose 'hates Scorpius' guts' they are the smartest kids in class. I clap for them as they go up to our Professor's desk and claim their prize.
I walk around the library happy for my free period. As I walks around reading a book I don't notice Albus as he looks for books in front of me. As I runs into him some of the books fall off the shelve and I drop my book and he drops the book he was holding. "Stupid unicorn poop," I groan as I bend down to pick up the books. I hear Albus laughing about my odd way of swearing. I look up at him laughing and can't help but smile. "Sorry," he manages to say through his fits of laughter.
"Well are you going to help me or not," I say a little annoyed with my friend and myself for being so childish. As Albus bends down to help with the books I already have the ones from the shelf back in order and my book next to the stack. I pick up the stack and put the books neatly back on the shelf and bend back down to get my book but Albus picks it up before I can get it. "A Muggel Life by Arthur Weasley," he says looking at me in awe. "What," I say blushing and standing up, "Mr. Potter, your dad said I should try it." I say, with Albus standing up too. "I think it's cool." He says bluntly. I look up at him, he's a good few inches taller than me. "Really?" I ask doubtfully. Not many people are interested in muggles, it's a common topic. But I for some odd reason find them intriguing.
"Yeah, I know a lot of people don't care about muggles but I didn't know you were interested in them," he says sheepishly, "I am too." He says smiling down at me. I don't know what to say. So I just smile. "Hey I need to get going," I say breaking the silence,"I'm meeting up with Rose so we can practice for the game," I say. I get pretty competitive when it comes to Quidditch especially with my spot on the team as chaser.  I throw the quaffle  through the goals and there are three chasers Rose, Liam, and me. Suddenly I remember I don't have a broom. I groan and call Rose so she knows I can't go. I sulk all the way back to the common room.
When I get to the painting of the fat lady I suddenly forget the password. "Password please," she says amused by my shocked expression. I look around for a Gryffindor and see Sam walking by. Well I've been trying to avoid him but desperate times come for desperate measures.
"Sam!" I call running over to him. "What!" He says annoyed then when he turns around his face softens. "Sorry I thought-"
"Nevermind what you thought I forgot the password to the common room can you tell me you still kinda owe me fo-" "Yes I'll tell you," he says rushed, "it's Gryffindor will win the house cup," he whispers even though there is no one around. He sees my confused expression and nods towards the paintings. I nod understanding. "Thanks," I say rushing off to the fat lady again. "Password?" She says annoyed. I whisper the password to her and then hurry through the door and rush up to my dormitory. Then as I walk in I see a package on my bed that says, from Dad and Sam sorry about your broom but hope you find this for your liking.
