Alice

I groan as I stretch my arms above my head as I wake up.
"Morning Alice!" Rose says from my left.
"Morning," I sigh slouching back onto my bed. Looking down at my chest I smile seeing a small little gold heart on a chain resting with the letters AP & AL engraved on the back. I tenderly reach my hand out and toy with it gently as I loose myself in my thoughts.
"-nd, wait Alice? Are you even listening?" Rose says popping her head out of her trunk.
"Yea umm maybe?" I say shrugging with a sheepish smile.
"We better go change, or we'll be late to breakfast," she says rolling her eyes teasingly.
"Okie doki!" I say smiling as I grab my clothes and make my way to the bathroom.

After changing clothes Rose and I made our way down to the Dining Hall.
"Hello ladies," James says appearing between Rose and I.
"Hi James," I laugh as Rose rolls her eyes and pushes him ahead of us. For a small confession, I had a crush on James for my first two years at Hogwarts. Anyway, we made our way to the Gryffindor table and I slowly sit down scanning the hall for Albus.
"Heh, and I was worried about us being late," Rose says as the doors close and neither of us see any signs of the boys.
"I wonder where they are," I say looking down at my toast.
"Al is probably still serving detention for staring at you all during Transfiguration," Rose says nudging my side gently. I feel my face heat up but continue to look for them as I slowly spread butter on the toast.

After breakfast Rose and I were beginning to worry, and by that I mean I was starting to worry.
"Alice chill, they aren't dead or stuck in the forest or being tormented by bridge trolls that want to use their bones to make bread. Geez, where do you get these theories?" Rose sighs watching me pace nervously around the Gryffindor common room.
"Hey Alice are you okay?" I hear James say from the couch.
"No I'm not okay! What if they are being chased by muggles who discovered them and want to experiment on them or what if there are evil unicorns trying to eat their flesh or-"
"Dang calm down, geez Rose I have no idea how you deal with this," James cuts me off.
"Watch you tongue she's my friend and this isn't the worst she's been," Rose says glaring at him. I shake my head and frown.
"Well we can't just stay here like sitting ducks let's go find them!" I exclaim heading towards the door, wand in hand.
"Alice-," is all I hear before closing the painting behind me. Where are you, Albus?

"Hmm," I sigh to myself as I look around the quiddich field. I've looked everywhere that Albus might be and still haven't caught any sign of him. I really am worried.
"So now do you understand that in order to make the potion you have to crush the beet, not cut it," I hear someone say nearby.
"Okay I think I've got it," I hear a familiar voice say.
"Great! So I'll see you tonight," the girl giggles. I feel my face turn red and I crouch down under the rim of the stands and listen to what some girl and my boyfriend are doing.
"Yeah bye Jane." I hear Albus say followed by some rustling as I assume they stand up.
"Bye!" I hear her say as she walks down the steps. I quickly stand up as to act like I was just walking by as a Ravenclaw girl walks by me.
"Hey Albus?" I call trying to calm down. What happened between him and that girl is bad right? Nothing's going on between them? Right?
"Oh umm hey Alice," he says stuttering. He quickly puts away whatever he was working on and stands up.
"Hey I have to go so I will see you later okay? Thanks bye Alice," he says rushed and leaves after kissing my cheek quickly. What is happening? Is Albus cheating on me? With a Ravenclaw? I numbly sit down on the bench and set my head down on my hands. I get so lost in thought that I don't notice someone walking up behind me. A piece of their auburn hair gets in my vision. "Now is not a good time James," I say without looking up. "But, I found Albus! Good thing is no evil muggles are making his bones into bread and melting his flesh," he says and I laugh a bit. "Yea I know. He was talking-" I start to choke up. "Alice, what happened?" James asks. I gently bite my lip and take a deep breath.
"I don't know but he might be seeing a Ravenclaw." I say water tearing at the bottom of my eyes.
"Alice, listen Albus would never cheat on you, you're all he talks about and probably thinks about," James says sitting down next to me.
"And plus," he adds as I brush my blonde hair out of my eyes, "you are one of the most beautiful, happy, caring, people I have ever met. Albus would be a fool to cheat on you, with a Ravenclaw of all people, I hear there're really bad kissers," he says nudging my arm. I can't help but laugh at his last comment.
"You really think so?" I ask looking up into his soft brown eyes.
"Yes. I really do," he says nodding.
"Thank you James," I say giving him a quick hug before standing up and making my way back to the common room.
"Wait Alice?" James calls from behind me. I turn around to look at him again.
"Want me to walk you back to the common room?" He asks jogging to where I stand.
"Sure lets go, don't want to worry Rose," I say smiling. I feel a lot better now thanks to James's words of reassurance.
