Zayn's POV
We walk out of the police station, Faith beside me and Louis on the other side of her. I didn't expect him to be here and although I had mixed feelings towards him as soon as I found out he had feelings for Faith, right now wasn't the time to confront him of cause any unnecessary drama. I trusted Faith when she told me she holds no interest towards him and all I care about is finding my son.
"I'm not sure if I should trust him." Faith says when we get in the car. Louis climbs in the back seat after Faith offers him a ride home. A ride was the last thing I could care about.
"I'm not sure either." I say as I pull out of the parking lot and start to drive out of the station. "But it's better to have more help. We'll just have to see what his true intentions are the more we're around him." It was weird to have to count on Jake seeing as we were the people who he pushed away. But he was trained and I trusted the chief and his words about Jake's experience with cases like these.
"Zayn?"
I turn my head when I notice the tone in her voice. The light is at a red so I'm able to look at her. Her eyes are already hazy and full of tears. "I miss him." Her voice cracks.
I sigh, my heart breaking for the both of us. Our little man was barely taken from us and we were quickly falling apart with every second without him. I take Faith's trembling hand in mine and squeeze it. "I know, baby. I do, too."

Faith's POV
I arrive but I feel every part of my body shaking. I look around the room, intimidated by all the other women in the same situation as me. I was pregnant. And I have never been more scared than now.
Louis came with me. He was the only one. Anastasia had an important test to take in Uni and Harry was at his mom's house to pay her a visit. If he had known of this appointment, he would've cancelled and gone another weekend. But I didn't tell him because I didn't want him to miss seeing his mom. She needed him and he didn't have to be here. I could be on my own. I would have if I didn't have these amazing friends who have been there for me since Zayn was put into jail.
I had no contact with him. He didn't want me to. I tried calling and asking to see him, but every time I tried an officer would tell me that Zayn didn't want to speak to me. I thought he didn't love me anymore, that he didn't care. But Louis told me that Zayn didn't want any contact because he didn't want to hurt me. The distance was too much for us and he wanted to talk to me until he was out, but only God knew how long until that would be.
A palm soothes my thigh. When I look up, I'm met with Louis' eyes. He smiles comfortingly, a way to assure me. "It's alright, love. You're going to be alright."
I'm not, I wanted to tell him. I'm alone on this despite having my friends but this child belonged to me and to someone who was trapped. I was unsure of what to do. I had no idea how I was going to handle a baby, much less on my own. I was clueless and heartbroken. I didn't know what to do.
"Faith Malik," A woman calls from a door next to the waiting room. I take a deep breath before Louis stands up and holds his hand out for me. I take it and together we follow the woman, leaving the other future mothers alone.
I change into a hospital robe. The nurse and Louis walk out to let me change. As I take off my simple black maternity jeans and white shirt, I notice the big ball of skin attached to me. I would ignore it throughout the beginning of my transition. I didn't want to look at it because it only reminded me of Zayn and how alone I was. I didn't want to think of the responsibility it would give me.
