*okay, this is really short, but also my second update of the day so... I guess you could consider this a bonus chapter!*

The ride to the Cullen's house was... Awkward, to say the least. I got into the car and sat on my knees to see out the window better. I really did love Washington State. Yeah, it rained a lot. Yeah, the people were awful. But the rain made everything green and bright and just so... Alive. It really was a breathtaking sight.

I'd been surprised when I was joined in the backseat. Bella sat right next to me, taking the middle seat, while Edward position himself next to her. Carlisle took the driver's seat while Esme was in the passenger seat.

Alice and Jasper were in a bright yellow car right behind us while Rosalie and Emmett where in a fancy red car behind them. Man, this family was loaded. They were probably stuck up snobs. They probably stole jewels or run some gang. That must be where all the money came from. Yeah... The doctor went through people's wallets while they were in the ER. His wife Stole famous people's recipes and sells them as her own. Emmett mugs people in dark alleys. Jasper is a hit man. Alice steals things from stores and possibly banks too. Rosalie is a con artist. I let a small smile appear on my lips as I let my imagination run wild.

Edward chuckled and I glanced at him nervously. There was something wrong with him. He's always either laughing, growling, or gasping for no apparent reason. He laughed again, louder this time. I looked away from him and rolled my eyes, making sure he wouldn't see.

And Bella... She's quiet. You never know what's up with her. She's weird and doesn't seem to understand how to communicate with other people.
Bella is...

Bella is... My smile turned into an amused grin.

Bella is a prostitute.

I jumped and pressed myself against the door as Edward growled and glared at me angrily. "Do not talk about your mother like that!" He boomed. My hands were shaking and I was terrified but I wouldn't let it show. As Esme gasped and Carlisle warningly said "Edward..."

I knew it. I knew there was something wrong with this family. Especially Edward.

Deciding it was probably best not to mess with the crazy guy, I simply said, "sure" and continued to stare out the window. There were a lot of people out there a lot scarier than this dude. And unfortunately I had met several of them.

I sighed in exasperation. This was a really long ride. And there were one too many crazy people in the car with me. I got off my knees and thumped back into my seat. I gasped as I sat down. I could definitely still feel the sting that Miss Michelle had left behind. I noticed that Edward had calmed down and threw me a look of pity and concern as I thought this. Seriously, this guy was all over the board. Maybe he was bipolar.

Everyone was silent after that, no one daring to speak first. We drove for about 30 more minutes. Once the car stopped, I jumped out immediately, desperate to escape the tight, enclosed space. Taking in the huge house in the middle of the deep woods, my first thought was, 'I'm going to get raped and murdered here.' Behind me, I heard Edward take a deep breath and he seem to be trying to calm himself. I glanced back at him and saw him staring at me oddly. I immediately faced forward again and thought, slightly panicked, 'And Edward is going to be the one to do it! What a freak.' Edward stiffened beside me.

I threw my bag over one shoulder. Carlisle smiled at me and reached his hand towards me. I involuntarily flinched, remembering all of the hits I'd taken in the past. He must have noticed because his smile dropped a little. "May I take your bag?" He asked politely.

"No" I answered simply. There was no way I was handing my bag off to anyone. I couldn't risk not getting it back, and lots of foster homes search your bag. In this bag I hold all of my life, my secrets, and my money. That money was important. I laughed mentally as I thought, 'that money is bus fare.' Edward pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled slowly. I frowned as I thought, 'he does that a lot.' Carlisle faltered slightly at my objection, but kept a polite smile on his face.

"Very well. Let us go inside." I nodded, but then stepped to the side to let everyone go in front of me. If there's one thing I've learned, it's never turn your back on anyone. Which is why I felt slightly panicked when Bella came up and put her hand on my shoulder, guiding me inside.
