49.

It was around 11 p.m. Barbra was about to go to Ryan's office, she wasn't willing to let him move out. However, she stopped herself when she heard a key noise. Walking to the living room, she saw him coming in.

- I thought you wouldn't be back.

- Don't be dramatic.

She rolled her eyes, exasperate.

- Oh, so my husband don't answer my calls and don't show up home over two days, and I'm being dramatic?

He turned to face her. She was hurt, and he couldn't care less. Yet, he said:

- I'm sorry. How was your day?

Then she started to tell everything about her day at work, and this was mostly the only thing they had to talk about. They both were workaholics, and that was one of the factors that ruined their marriage. They didn't realized that they were so focus on their jobs, that their relationship went apart.

They had dinner together, and Barbra had observed him, despaired to get him back.

- I saw Anna today.

- Really? How's she?

- Not that well. They're saying really nasty things about her. She's afraid to loose Isabella to Evan.

Ryan was irritated. He couldn't stand hearing Evan's name. After Anna's divorce, he and Evan were still friends, even that he's attitude was getting into Ryan's nerves. But when Evan started to say awful things about her in media, making her seeming a cheap slut, they got into a huge fight, that ended with punches, fingers being pointed, and a lot of bad things being said.

Ryan couldn't stand Evan's immaturity.

- I hope she'll be ok soon.

- She asked me to talk with him.

- Do it.

- I will. She's so different now. I mean, after Isabella was born she became a whole different, and better, person. But now she's just sad.

- She has been trough a lot. We must be there for her, make things easier.

- Right..

Barbra had said. Ryan hated to see Anna like that. She wasn't sad, she was miserable. And there was no vestige of that energetic girl anymore. Barbra didn't, and couldn't, know, but a month ago, on a family dinner, he was going to the bathroom when he heard Anna crying. She was sat on the kitchen's floor, with her eyes small of crying. He just sat next to her, and she hugged him. No words were used, she just cried. He just wished being able to do more to help.

- Anna, take vacation. You can't work like this.

Haley had said. Anna thought for a while before answering.

- You're right. I need to take a break from here, I need time to fix this situation.

Haley putted her hands over Anna's shoulders, being supportive.

- How are you?

-  Please, I can't take this from you. Don't give me this condescending look. You're my best friend, you know exactly the mess I am.

- I'm sorry, I'm just afraid to say something stupid, so I choose to be polite.

- I know you only want what's best for me, but I need you standing beside me the way you are, not a softer version.

- Well, in that case, there are things I've been wanting to tell you for a while.

Anna looked at her knowing exactly what to hear, but it wasn't enough. She knew she had to hear those words said loud, so she would be forced to face the truth.
