Capture The Flag

Chapter Two.

Percy

There I fall into a dreamless sleep...yeah right.

I watch three kids, two boys one girl. Wave sticks around muttering words as they fight a monster.

Interesting method but sticks won't kill it only celestial bronze will.

Then flashes of light erupt from the ends of the sticks and the monster disappears.

"The defense around the school must be getting weaker, there's no way Dumbledore would allow a things like that to live in the forest." The girl says in a British accent.

"Hermione are you forgetting that Dumbledore aloud Fluffy to live IN the school." The ginger one says with the same accent.

"Hermione's right Ron, now lets get to bed before were caught out past curfew and get detention." The boy with shaggy black hair says.

"Wow Harry, for once you say something sensible." The girl -Hermione- says astounded. Harry shrugs and together they put their sticks into their robes before headed up to the castle?

"He looks so peaceful and calm." A girl whispers.

"Percy is never peaceful or calm.." Another girl, Annabeth says. I groan and roll over on my back.

"Aw." A girl says in a baby voice.

"Can you girls please stop discussing me while I sleep, thanks." I mumble and pull my blankets up to cover my head.

"Nope now get up seaweed brain." Annabeth laughs. I peak out from under my blanket to see her standing by my bed with Thalia.

"I don't wanna." I whine.

"To bad." Thalia says before she rips my blanket off of me and I'm revealed to the cold morning air.

I simply shrug, stand up, and lay down in Tyson's bed all while still having my eyes closed.

"Your boyfriend is hopeless." Thalia grumbles.

"Believe me, I know." Annabeth says.

"Hey!" I complain acting hurt.

"Will you please wake up for me?" Annabeth asks. I know she's doing the puppy eyes but I refuse to look.

I shake my head. Then suddenly she presses her lips to mine and before I respond she pulls away. I groan. "Come back."

"Not until you wake up." Annabeth says. I sigh in defeat and get out of bed. "Great now lets get to breakfast." Annabeth shouts. She grabs Thalia's hand and drags her out of my cabin. Without changing into my jeans and Camp Half-Blood t-shirt I race out after them still in my basketball shorts with no shirt.

"Annabeth!" I call as I chase her. "You said if I woke up you would come back not run away."

"Sorry Percy!" She shouts giggling, man I love her laugh. "I heard that!" She shouts. Did I say that outloud? "Yes!" She shouts. I groan and keep running.

Finally I catch them at the dinning pavilion. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her back to me. "Apologize wise girl." I whisper.

"Never." She says spinning around. She flips me over her shoulder and puts her knee on my chest. She holds her dagger at my heart.

"Sorry." I squeak out even though I did nothing wrong.

"Next time wake up." She says getting close to my face. I nod and kiss her on the lips before using my legs to flip her over me. I jump up and run to the head table.

"Hey Chiron, how ya doin? Lovely weather were having huh?" I ramble.

"PERCEUS JACKSON!" Annabeth yells.

"Chiron save me." I scream. To late Annabeth grabs me. She has her dagger at my throat and another one at my back so I don't run. I gulp and put my hands up in surrender.

"I'm soooo sorry Annabeth. Your amazing and I wouldn't be able to live without you!" I shout.

"That's what I thought seaweed brain." She smiles and releases me. She quickly kisses me on the cheek before going to sit with her cabin mates. I blush when I notice everyone staring at us. I sit alone at my table and quickly eat breakfast.

Afterwards I accompany Annabeth to the lake.

"Annabeth your not doing it right." I shout to Annabeth as I watch her struggle to canoe.

"I kinda realized that!" She shouts back. "How do you do this?" She shouts getting annoyed.

"It really isn't that hard." I say laughing. She glares at me and I put my hands up in surrender.

When she's not looking I ask the water nymphs to help Annabeth. They nod and swim towards the canoe. I watch as they push the canoe forward to land. Annabeth lurches forward not expecting the canoe to move. Then falls into the water and doesn't come back up.

Panicked I scream her name before diving into the water. I swim over to her and see her foot tangled in a plant. She's slashing at it with her dagger. I create an air bubble for her to breath and I get out Riptide to cut her free.

Finally she's free and I pull her to the surface. "Thanks for saving me seaweed brain." She says smiling at me.

"No problem wise girl I would fall into tartuarus if it meant saving you." I respond. She laughs and kisses me.

"So why did my boat lurch forward like that?" She asks pulling away. I mumble something about can't trust water nymphs before kissing her again.

"Blue team assemble!" Annabeth shouts. The blue team consists of all the campers, the red team is the hunters. We outnumber them easily but they are amazing at this game.

"Alright Apollo's cabin head around the left flank, try and get under their defenses, same goes to the Ares cabin but on the right. Aphrodite's cabin try to distract the red team. Demeter's cabin catch hunters in plants, Hermes cabin defend the flag at all costs. Me and Percy will go straight through the middle to the flag. Whoever gets to it first take it and run back here if you can't make it pass it on to someone else." Annabeth instructs. Everyone nods understanding the game plan.

We get in position and wait for the game to begin. Once it does all Hades breaks loose. The hunters take down camper after camper without hesitation. Me and Annabeth duck behind a tree and see the flag guarded by a new hunter.

We rush up to her and easily knock her bow out of her hand. Annabeth grabs the flag and we race back to our territory. Annabeth trips before we get there and the flag goes flying in the air. I catch it and jump across the creek to our side. Everyone cheers for me and Annabeth and lifts us on their shoulders.

All the hunters look shocked and the new hunter they had guarding the flag looks guilty for costing them the game.

"Heroes! Hunters! Settle down." Chiron says. "Congratulations to the campers for winning Capture the flag against the hunters for the first time in history." Everyone cheers and we head to the campfire.
