Chapter Ten.

Nico

A few days after the fury attack Percy wakes me up by jumping on my bed and shouting.

"Percy shut up." I mumble trying to push him off my bed.

"Not until you wake up!" He shouts. I groan but sit up. I rub my eyes and glare at Percy in his usual basketball shorts and no shirt.

"Why did you wake me up?" I ask yawning.

He shrugs before answering. "I felt like it."

"Your gonna get it Percy!" I yell fuming. I jump up with my sword (does he use a sword or a dagger) and chase Percy out of the room.  

He runs into the common room and jumps over the sofa.

"Can't catch me." He says in a sing song voice before running through the portrait hole.

I follow closely behind him all the way to the grand hall where everyone is eating breakfast.

"Percy Jackson!" I yell causing everyone to look at us. Percy sighs and stops. He faces me and puts his hand in the air in surrender. One of his hands is in a fist like he's holding something.

I narrow my eyes suspiciously and walk towards him, sword raised. At the last minute Percy reveals that he was holding Riptide in pen form. He uncaps it and gets ready to fight.

I slash at his sword arm but he easily side steps.

Suddenly he starts pushing me harder. Now I can't get one hit in I'm all defense.

He raises his sword the same time I do. They clash together in mid-air and there's a brief moment of struggle before he over powers me and twists my sword out of my hand. It slides across the floor out of reach.

He pins me to the floor smirking. "That's what you get for thinking you could beat me."

"Percy leave Nico alone and put a shirt on ." Annabeth says walking over to us. Percy sighs and gets up. He helps me up and smiles.

"Sorry Nico and Annabeth you know you like the view." He says cockily motioning to his six almost eight pack. Annabeth rolls her eyes and punches him lightly in the gut.

"Come on seaweed brain, eat breakfast then you can go change." She says laughing. He nods and puts his arm over mine and her shoulders steering up back to the table.

"Hey man do you know her?" Percy whispers pointing to a girl. He finally put a shirt on after Annabeth made him, now were at lunch.

I look at the the girl he's pointing at. A petite brunette with green eyes is looking at me from the ravenclaw table. She smiles and blushes when she notices me looking. I smile at her before turning back to Percy.

"No why?" I ask looking back at the pretty girl.

"She keeps checking you out." Percy says smiling. I blush.

"What should I do, should I talk to her?" I ask panicked, I don't have much experience with girls.

"Yeah talk to her after lunch." Percy encourages me. I nod and finish my food.

I see the girl stand up with two other girls and leave the hall. I follow at a safe distance.

"Oh I forgot my homework go ahead without me, I'll be there soon." She says to her friends. They nod and walk away. She starts heading in my direction so I duck around a corner.

I planned on walking around the corner stopping her but instead I waited to long and when I went around the corner I crashed into her causing her to fall and drop her books.

"I am so sorry." I shout bending down making sure she's ok. I help her gather her books and the help her up. "Sorry about that I wasn't watching where I was going." I say scratching the back of my neck nervously.

"That's ok." She laughs a cute little laugh. "Um Nico. Right?"

"Yeah I'm Nico Di Angelo and you are?" I ask smiling.

"I'm Lilly Ruwwe." (Pronounce Rue E) She says shaking my hand. "It was nice meeting you but I need to go her my homework from my common room."

"How about I walk you there?" I ask. She smiles and nods. I follow her to her common room listening to her tell me about herself.

I walk her to her next class. "It was nice meeting you, we should hang out sometime." I say smiling. She nods eagerly before saying bye and entering the class room.

I rush back to the common room where my demigod friends are talking frantically.

"Percy I talked to her. Her names Lilly Ruwwe and she smart, funny, and cute. We're gonna hang out sometime!" I say sitting next to Percy. He claps me on the back and congratulates me.

"Um Percy maybe we should tell Nico." Clarisse says. Percy nods and looks at me suddenly serious.

Him and Annabeth tell me about what Chiron said over the IM.

"What there's another war coming, when will we get some peace?!?" I ask.

Everyone shrugs and starts random conversations.

Another war, wasn't defeating Kronos and Gaea enough?
