The Subway

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been super busy. I got a bunch of positive comments on this story which makes me really excited plus this story now has 2,151 reads, 50 votes and 22 comments so thanks so much to everyone who is commenting and voting it means a lot. One more thing read the ending authors note because I'm holding a contest and the rules and info will be in the ending authors note. Um lets see, I owe a dedication to katnis1313131313 for commenting and I can't remember if I dedicated a chapter to cutie3265 and define_yourself so just incase fan them all and read their stories! Chapter Eighteen.

   ~Annabeth's POV~

I watch as Percy and Thalia collapse almost at the same time after using so much of their powers. Luckily for Thalia Clarisse catches her before she hits the ground, on the other hand Percy falls to the ground. His head slams against the concrete.

"Percy." I breathe out and then run to him. I get down on my knees and lift his head up off the concrete. I inspect his head for injuries and find that there's already a big bump forming on the back of his head and he's bleeding a little bit.

"Is Percy ok?" Harry asks coming up behind me. I take one look at him and I can tell he's worried.

"He'll be fine but we probably shouldn't fly for a while." I say brushing some hair off of Percy's forehead. "Him and Thalia won't be able to sit up on a Pegasus or broom just yet."

Harry nods in understanding and scratches the back of his neck. "How do we get to your demigod home if we can't fly?"

"First of all it's Camp Half-Blood and secondly we'll have to find some other way of transportation." I say just as everyone else comes over. Clarisse sets Thalia down beside Percy.

"Maybe we should take the subway." Clarisse suggests as I dig some ambrosia and nector out of my pack to feed to Thalia and Percy.

"That sounds like the best option right now." Nico says. "Besides it beats walking."

"Let's just rest for a moment." Piper says sitting down. We all follow suit and we each take just a little bit of nector and ambrosia.

After a bit of strategy talking Percy and Thalia come around and we prepare to leave. Percy puts an arm over my shoulders and an arm over Harry's shoulder so we can help him walk considering he's still weak. Same goes with Thalia but Clarisse and Ron help her.

When we finally get to the subway we lower Percy and Thalia into two seats side by side while the rest of us are forced to stand because there are no more available seats.

"So this subway should take us about a block away from where Percy's mom lives. We'll stop by, assure her that Percy is fine, Gather some more supplies and be back at camp by tomorrow." I say trying to sound cheerful. Every nods in understanding and goes back to their separate conversations. I sigh frustrated that no one will take plans seriously.

A hand rests on my shoulder and I look behind me to see Thalia looking much better. "Annabeth why don't you take a break and sit down. Your to stressed out." She says smiling sympathetically. I nod and take her seat by Percy.

He smiles at me and I faintly smile back. I'm exhausted from two attacks in one day. "Why don't you get some sleep. It'll be a few hours before were getting of the subway." Percy says looking at me worried as my eyes begin to droop. Before I can protest Percy stops me with a 'don't argue' look and I sigh but close my eyes.

I'm woken up by the train lurching to a stop causing me to fall out of my seat. I lift myself up and look around confused. "What's happening? Is it our stop?'

"No, I think the train broke down." Harry says helping me stand up.

"Thanks." I mumble and do a quick head count. "Where's Hermione?" I ask alarmed.

"I think she went to ask the conductor why we've stopped.' Lilly answers me. I nod and ask, "So what do we do?"

"I don't know but at this rate we'll never make it to camp." Leo says brushing hair out of his eyes.

   ~Percy's POV~

While everyone else discuss ideas on how to get back to camp I close my eyes and concentrate on Grover who recently got back to camp after finding a demigod and spreading the word of Pan's death.

'Hey Grover now would be a great time for some help.'

I say in my mind hoping Grover can hear me through our empathy link.

'We're trapped in a subway underground, tell Chiron we're gonna be late in our return to camp. We have to find a way to get the subway going.'

Still no answer. I sigh and open my eyes. "I don't think Grover can hear me." I tell Nico who's looking at me strangely. He nods in understanding and goes back to talking with Lilly.

"Hey seaweed brain." Annabeth says sitting beside me. I smile at her and begin talking. "How do we manage to get a huge train to move. The only person I know of who might be able to do it is..." I trail off knowing it's impossible. Even if we could contact her I doubt she can move a train.

   ~Hazel's POV~

"Hey Frank." I say plopping down on the ground beside him.

"Oh hey Hazel I almost forgot to tell you Jason's looking for you." Frank says standing up. He takes my hand and pulls me up beside him.

"Ok thanks Frank, I'll see you later." I say smiling at him before I take off running down the hill in search of Jason.

* (A/N) Hey guys! I finally updated! I know it's short and boring but there's going to be some excitement in the next chapter which I'll try my best to update as soon as possible but to do that I need your guys help. I want to add a new character into this story, a character no one has heard of before because it's gonna be one of you.
