Chapter Five

Percy

"'Seven shall travel to the land of magic and spell.' That's got to be where the wizards are, London." Annabeth says. Chiron nods.

"'To unite with new faces left alone to dwell.' That must be the wizards." Clarisse says.

"Together you must fight two old foes united they once fell." Nico says. "Who could that be?" No one answers.

"Dark things are stirring no one hero can defeat." Thalia says. "So we all have to work together to defeat the evil things."

"The Dark Lord and Titan King will wreak." (Like wreak havoc, not sure if i spelled it right) Leo says ending the prophecy. "We know who the Titan king is, Kronos but whose the Dark Lord?"

"I don't know." I say looking to Chiron who simply shrugs looking confused and worried.

"Well Percy will lead the quest because Hera came to him, so Percy pick the six others that will accompany you." Chiron says. I nod and pick without hesitation.

"Annabeth, Thalia, Leo, Piper, Clarisse, and Nico." I say looking at each if my friends.

I know what your thinking, why take Clarisse? Well after the war with Gaea she hasn't been trying to kill me so I'm hoping she considers me a friend now.

"Ok now that that is decided you seven will leave after breakfast tomorrow, meeting adjourned." Chiron says and we all disperse.

Me and Annabeth walk aimlessly around camp deep in thought.

"Hey Percy?" She finally speaks up.

"Hmm?" I ask looking into her beautiful gray eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me last night?" She asks looking hurt. I stop and face her.

"Annabeth I just didn't want you to have to worry, I wanted you to be able to get a goodnights rest. Things were finally calm for us and I didn't want to ruin that for you." I say. She smiles at me and throws her arms around me.

"Percy you didn't have to do that but thank you so much for caring. I don't deserve such an amazing guy like you." She says with tears in her eyes.

"Annabeth you deserve the best and for some reason you chose me and I couldn't be happier." I say wiping her tears away.

"I love you Percy, always."

"I love you too Annabeth, forever." With that I pull her close and kiss her.

"Awwww!" I jump at the sudden out burst and Annabeth screams. I wrap my arms around her protectively only to find the entire camp had been spying on us.

"Don't you guys have better things to do then spy on us?" I ask laughing. Every single camper shakes their head 'no'. "And I'm guessing old Electrica over her is the leader of the spying." I say pointing to Thalia who grins and nods before realizing what I said.

"Did you just call me old?" She asks shocked. I shrug with a smirk on my face. Me and Thalia have gotten close since we defeated Gaea. We don't fight as often unless we're just playing around I mean after all she is my cousin.

"Your asking for it fish breath." She grumbles mad.

"Bring it on Sparky." I say using Jason's nickname from when we were on the Argo 11. Jason is Thalia's little brother so naturally she doesn't like being called by his nickname.

"Oh it's on!" She shouts.

"Maybe we should run." Annabeth suggests.

"Good plan." I say nodding. We turn and run as the entire camp chases us with weapons.

"We're so dead." I tell Annabeth as we run. She nods in agreement and pulls me into the Athena cabin then proceeds to crawl under a bunk.

"What are you doing?" I ask in a hushed tone so they don't find us.

"Hiding, now if you want to live you'll crawl under here to." She says. I nod and crawl under the bed next to her. It's a tight fit but we both manage be out of sight.

Footsteps enter the cabin walking around. Finally the voice announces "they're not in here!" And leaves the cabin.

I sigh in relief and begin to get out but Annabeth pulls me back in. I look at her questioningly.

"Athena is the god of wisdom and battle strategy, the campers are probably waiting to ambush us once we leave." She explains.

"But how would they know we're in here?"

"Athena's children learn to sense where an enemy is at in a room, trust me they know we're in here." She says. I nod and decide it's best to wait I mean they have to give up sometime right?

Wrong.

After four hours of hiding under the bed just talking about random things and we may have kissed a few times, we climbed out only to be ambushed.

The Demeter cabin threw a net around us made of thick vines and carried us to the Aphrodite cabin were the children of Aphrodite were waiting for us.

A few girls pushed Annabeth into the bathroom and went in with her. Then a few girls came over to me and started messing with my hair and clothes.

"There, perfect." One of the campers Lacey says grinning. I narrow my eyes suspiciously and look in the mirror, I look good.

Someone clears their throat and I turn to see Annabeth. Her blonde her curled to perfection, she's wearing some makeup but I can still see her natural beauty underneath. The campers managed to get her into a strapless electric blue dress that stops a little bit above her knees and black flats.

"Y-you look- you look beautiful." I say stuttering, I've never seen Annabeth in anything but jeans and a t-shirt and seeing her in a short dress definitely left me stunned.

She smirks at my inability to speak correctly. "You don't look to bad yourself." She says looking me up and down.

"Ok enough talk, let's go!" Piper says excitedly.

"Where?" I ask.

"Oh just come on, don't make me get the net back out." She says menacingly. I put my hands up in surrender and she drags us out to the lake where there's a pic nik blanket with candles and food. "Enjoy your date love birds." She smirks before skipping off happily.

I laugh and scratch the back of my neck nervously, this is mine and Annabeth's first REAL date.

"So um, shall we?" I manage to get out. She nods with a smile displayed on her face. We walk to the blanket and sit down side by side.

We talk, laugh, kiss, and eat. Just enjoying each other.

When were done I start packing the stuff away when Thalia shoos me away and starts doing it herself. I shrug and lead Annabeth away.

The rest of the night was great. I took Annabeth on a Pegasus ride -on blackjack and we just flew looking at the stars.

I picked her a rose -thorn free of course- from the garden of the Demeter cabin, they will definitely murder me if they ever found out and then I walked her back to her cabin.

"Goodnight beautiful." I say causing her to blush.

"Good night Percy, I love you." She says smiling widely.

"I love you too Annabeth." I kiss her good night, a long, sweet, lingering kiss before I walk back to my cabin with a giant smile on my face.

Tonight was the best night of my life and it's all thanks to Thalia. She really is an amazing cousin, but if you ever tell her I said that I will personally murder you.
