The Furies

Chapter Eight.

Harry

After hearing the demigods' story I was impressed they seem to all of had rough lives like me. Only there's seemed worse if that's possible.

These people are definitely tough and emotionally scarred and I feel bad for them.

The next day I wake up to Percy screaming.

I shoot up in bed to see Percy on the floor pinned down by Annabeth and her dagger. I laugh and get out of bed.

"Good morning Harry." Annabeth says cheerfully. I smile at her then turn to Percy.

"Harry help me." He shouts. I shake my head 'no' and leave the room. I sit next to Ginny in the common room and throw my arm over her shoulders. She kisses my cheek and we sit in silence.

One by one our old friends and our new demigod friends come down to the common room.

Annabeth and Percy come last holding hands and laughing. They sit down on the floor -Annabeth in Percy's lap- and start talking in Greek to Nico. It's easy to tell the other demigods are listening to the conversation before Annabeth jumps up and shouts. "Oh Styx were late for class."

We all realize she's right and quickly get dressed before racing off to our classes. We all have the same classes except when we have free time Hermione and Annabeth are taking extra classes.

From class today I can pretty much conclude that Annabeth is a genius and Hermione doesn't like that to much, Leo is a cocky comedian, Piper is a little smart and she doesn't care what others think, Clarisse is mean and you don't want to get on her bad side, Percy is pretty epic, a smart alec, and not good at school like me, and from spending lunch with him I found out Nico isn't much of a people person.

All in all they are some great people that I definitely see myself being friends with.

"Ok well me and Hermione have Ancient Ruins now." Annabeth says standing up from the common room where were all spending our break.

Everyone nods but Percy who stands up and kisses Annabeth. She pulls away and begins to walk away but Percy grabs her arm and spins her around to face him again.

"Do you have to leave." He whines.

"Yes seaweed brain I have to." She says laughing.

"Fine wise girl but you owe me." He sighs giving in. She pecks him on the lips once more before walking away. "Love you!" Percy calls after her.

"Love you too!" She shouts before running off. Percy stares at her as she goes, it looks like he's making sure she gets there ok.

Finally he sits down sighing.

"So you and Annabeth?" I ask. He nods smiling.

"Yeah man Ive had a crush on her since I was twelve and first showed up at camp, we went on so many quests together and faced death together so much we grew so close and eventually my crush turned into more and right after the last Titan war she admitted to liking me and we kissed turns out the whole camp was spying on us and they threw us in the lake but I created an air bubble and we stayed under there for a while." He smiles at the memory. "Lets just say it was the best underwater kiss ever."

Ginny 'awww's' and I roll my eyes at her reaction.

"That's so cute Percy." Ginny cooed pinching Percy's cheek. He swipes her hand away and blushes.

"Aw look my wittle cousin is blushing." Thalia says in a baby voice ruffling his hair. I chuckle as Percy glares at her. "Well I'm gonna go somewhere that's not here!" Thalia says jumping up and rushing out of the room probably knowing Percy was going to fight with her.

"Yeah me too." Percy says looking distracted. He stands up and quickly grabs something before any of us can see what it is and he rushes from the room.

Percy

I grab Annabeth's blue cap and rush out of the common room.

I race through the halls, up and down moving staircases, past classrooms and every time I came across a teacher I duck into a classroom.

Finally, sweaty and out of breath, I stop at the Ancient Ruins class. The doors open so I can see Annabeth sitting inside next to Hermione, on the other side of her is an empty chair.

I watch her raise her hand and answer a question, she must have got the answer right because the teacher said something and Annabeth smiled looking pleased with herself.

I smile and put the cap on. I look down to make sure I'm invisible before I walk into the classroom. No one notices me come in or sit next to Annabeth.

I rest my hand on her thigh and she gasps. Luckily no one heard her and they continue writing and every so often answering questions.

I lean over to her ear and whisper, "hey wise girl." She smiles and grabs my hand in hers.

"What are you doing here?" She asks still smiling.

"I missed you and couldn't stand to be away from you any longer." I whisper back and kiss her cheek.

"Aw!" She says. "I just have to finish this work and then I can leave."

"Well why are we talking lets go,cwork!" I say excitedly. She laughs and starts writing again.

After a few more minutes of her writing she finished and turns it in.

"Ok seaweed brain lets go." Annabeth whispers gathering her things. Once we're out of the room I give her her cap back and carry her bag for her. She begins walking but I stop her.

"Don't I get a kiss?"

She rolls her eyes but kisses me anyway. I smile and hold her hand as we walk.

"So did anything interesting happen while I was gone?" She asks raising her eyebrows.

Before I can answer a scream comes from outside. We share a look and then sprint outside. We push our way through the crowd of people and stop when we see the fury's.

One holds down Piper while the other two bare their fangs and make sure no one comes forward. Annabeth grabs her dagger and I uncap riptide.

Together we charge into battle.
